27 Dead in Elementary School Shooting

The gunman, identified as Ryan Lanza, 24, of New Jersey, was killed inside of the school.
In addition to the casualties at the school, a dead body was also found in his home, officials said. Sources said Lanza was armed with four weapons and wearing a bullet-proof vest when he opened fire in the elementary school.

Among the dead was the gunman's mother, found in the school, sources told ABC News.
"The shooter is deceased inside the building," Connecticut State Police spokesman Lt. Paul Vance said at a news conference. "The public is not in danger."

Authorities initially believed that there were two gunmen and were searching cars around the school.

First grade teacher Kaitlin Roig, 29, locked her 14 students in a classroom bathroom and listened to "tons of shooting" until police came to help.

"It was horrific," Roig said. "I thought we were going to die."

She said that the terrified kids were saying, "I just want Christmas…I don't want to die. I just want to have Christmas."

They are coming after the guns there is no doubt. I mean Operation Fast and Furious was meant to create chaos unleashing automatic weapons into the public. This is exactly what they have been waiting for. Im very sorry for the children and the parents but who sheds tears for the 55 million children aborted in The USA since 1973. No guns were used there.

What really posses me off is that they will try and change the gun laws thinking it will solve this problem... the biggest problem we as people have is that we believe too much bullshit.. The media controls our thoughts..why did this guy open fire in a school? I because it's been done before and glorified on TV... Everyone's remembers these days... If you want a gun better go get one now, they will come after them for sure. Thing is if they are registered they can still come after them, I mean they know you have it. Why do you think they sponsored that Fast and Furious program. A border patrol agent was killed with one of their weapons which flooded the market. The weapons weren't traced nothing just unleashed into the public, thousands of machine guns and hand guns. This was our Federal Government that did this. Now the gun control people will be screaming.

One thing I learned is that no town no area is safe from evil. I worked on a murder investigation years ago and the area was very wealthy, unlocked garage happened in broad day light, lady water coloring in her house. Multi million dollar homes

Not sure..there are numerous reports that are unsubstantiated.. supposedly the brother is still in custody, there is one rumor they caught a person in the woods near the school in camo, but that's not on major networks.

I heard a local radio station with one of the friends of the brother of the shooter. He said the shooter always had severe mental health issues and problems as a kid.

He killed his dad, and mom and then her students. I don't know the motive, they don't know, but from first glance it is almost like he hated family.

I heard a criminologist who I actually had in College which is like 15 minutes away from Newtown and they interviewed her on CNN....Dr. Casey Jordan (pretty hot too btw) but anyways, she was saying a similar thing that the murders appear to be an intense hatred towards humanity and a family unit. so he sought to destroy it...Sometimes these people are right and it makes a little sense.

I haven't eaten all day..I have to go out and get something..Im still in shock...My town is desolate. A ghost town. No one is around, its like 9/11 but worse.

None of the kids stabbed died in China .. 20 kids died from gunshot wounds from automatic guns that his mother bought him . He killed her too .. maybe that's her karma .. Do the math ..limit the kind of guns sold and stricter restrictions on those who buy them ..At least it's an effort ..or should 5 year olds carry guns to school and fire back ? 1) none of the kids stabbed died in China, however, several of them are in critical condition

2)the mother bought him an automatic gun? where did she get that those are illegal in the US...there were presumed 4 guns, 2 of which were handguns the other 2 have not been released yet...an automatic hand gun???

3) why the hell is anyone buying a person with mental problems a gun???

4) limit the number of guns sold and stricter restrictions...this worked great in Nazi Germany
everybody in Switzerland has a gun and knows how to use it, they have the lowest crime rate in the world-hows that for an effort

My kids walked in the door after school and I got down on my knees and hugged them an just lost it. I was crying more because I knew there are 20 parents that are not going to be able to do that with the kids they lost today.
