What do you guys use to add some diversity in your diet? I'd love to get some deer this year and have some in the freezer. Sometimes I'll do black beans and rice. I've also been eating alot of that protein rich pasta. Any other ideas?

yeah bro up your fiber so you can absorb more of the protein, thats why rice beans and chicken is a great combo, I mean u can lower the rice down but the beans help the chicken protein be absorbed

Dude I needa get some of that deer from you stat! I love when some of my buddies ground that shit up, I make deer burgers..... MMMMMMMMM, its been a while

i do kidney beans with some chicken but thats about it for me to spice it up for protein. exotic meats just cost too much

LMAO, this reminds me of a story. When I was a pharmacy tech hundreds of years a go, this hot ass 19 year old comes to the counceling area and asks for the pharmaicst. Now the pharmacist was a cool dude, so we both go over and she says that her doctor told her to ask the pharmacist for help bc they know more about nutrition. So we say shoot, whats the question. She was in good shape, a little thin so the doc told her to eat more protein. She says to us, "How can I get more protein into my body?"
Darren and I just look at each other and then back at her. I had to walk away bc I was about to lose it. After she leaves, wow. We wanted to suggest a couple protein shots a day compliments of your friendly neighborhood pharm boys, lol.
Sorry Dude, I didnt mean to take your thread and turn it into this but I had to share

I get it at whole Foods, it's a local store here that sells alot of organic foods/health food type stuff. I really like it, it's like really dark turkey meat. If you can get in ground form it makes some awesome low fat high protien burgers.

I don't get it enough but I like Bison and ostrich for a little change of pace.

My go to protein sources are turkey legs and pork steaks. I get the legs for .89 lb! And the pork steaks for 1.99 lb. cheap and much more calorie dense than chix and beef. Of course this is for a higher calorie diet.

Damn that sounds good. Any chance you could post the recipe??

Damn that sounds F'n good! Never tried Kango though, hell I didn't even know that folks ate them!

here in Aus....we sell Kangaroo in pretty much all super markets next to the beef... Kangaroo is very very lean. Very comparable to beef. But much tougher and dryer (supose due to the lack of fat) you really need to know how to cook roo for it to be a good meal otherwise its like eating your shoes. Roo tails seem to be an Abbo dellicasy but i wont eat it

Havent seen ostrich at 'whole foods'. have to check it out.. Used to be a resturant that served
'exotic meat'. Aligator, venison, ostrich ect. I tried the Elk and a few other things. Dam, they
really knew how to prepare it. Always good. Finally closed, guess it was too far out for locals.
I try to do buffalo sometimes. Burgers. Leaner and more protien then beef. I just cant let my
kids know its buffalo or they wont touch it. If they think its beef they love it. lol
