Hello everyone this is my first log. Im not big on social media or forums. This is the only forum I’ve interacted with and got positive responses. So I appreciate you guys. I was pretty active most my life. Going to the gym and was into power lifting in my 30s. I am an ISSA certified personal trainer for about 25 years. I’ve only done it natural until now. At one point I opened a night club. That interrupted all my weight lifting and it made way more money than my training was making me so I focused on that and kinda stopped training for a while and was basically drinking for a living and Eating big meals in our restaurant every night. Doing tons of cocaine and drinking isn’t a very healthy lifestyle apoarently cause I got real fat and so badly out of shape it was crazy. Was over 300 pounds s. All the drugs and drinking took their tole and I was diabetic and about 40% body fat. I was diagnosed with pancreatitis from all the drinking. That derailed my health for years. Couldn’t hardly eat and was in and out of the hospital every month. I quit drinking couple years ago when I met my woman. I got sober about 2 years ago. I lost some weight from that and was about 290 or so when we started Reta. I started with 2mg for 3 or 4 weeks then bumped it up to 3mg. That’s when the magic started for me. Around week 8 I realized we really needed to get back into the gym. Started working out again and man was it difficult. Way harder than I remember it in my 30s. Lol! Anyway it would take a week or more to recover. So I got my testosterone levels tested. I was about 400 total T so my dr couldn’t do anything g unless I was under 300 even though I had every symptom of low T. So I made the executive decision to do it on my own. The first round went ok at first. I was only using 180mg a week split into two doses. But because I wasn’t using enough to get above my natural level it lowered my test level to mid 300s. E2 was 8. My growth hormone serum was 1.0 my LH was .3 and FSH .3 also. HDL 34, LDL 109, VLDL 11. I raised my dose to 300mg a week about 8 weeks ago. I’ve felt a lot stronger in the gym and my workouts have exploded into longer more intense sessions. I’m finally getting some size back. My libido is back. My mind is more clear. I’m now 200 pounds 5’11” and 14% body fat. I can see my six pack for the first time ever. I’ve never been able to get below 20% body fat even when I was young. Powerlifting requires calories. I think I’m in the best shape ever. I do my next set of labs on the 7th. I go to the gym 5 days a week. Day one legs. I do squats and leg extensions leg curls lunges and calf raises. I do 4 r 5 sets of each and about 6 or 8 reps. Day 2 is push day. I using mainly dumbbells cause Olympic bar hurts my shoulder. Day 3 is pull day. I love doing back exercises. It my favorite day. I do deadlifts I do lat cable pull downs seated cable rows. Bent over pulls or lawnmowers whatever you call them. Seated matching rows and rear dealt flys. I usually do some shoulder work each day just to keep it warm and not hurting during g movements. Then on the 4th day I do legs again. Same routine. Day 5 I do cardio and abs. I’m eating about 1600 to 1800 calories a day. Trying to eat more is hard on reta but soon I’ll be able to eat more cause I’m taking less and less. I don’t do lots of cardio anymore cause I don’t really want to lose any more weight. I have a little pooch of fat right around my belly button that’s refusing to leave but that’s all. So I’ve started taking less Reta titterating down every other week and started trying to eat a few more calories so I can lift a little heavier to put muscle mass on instead of just maintaining it. I’m taking several other peptides now on top of Reta. I take SS-31 and Mots-C for mitochondrial health. I take tb500 & bpc157 for an old shoulder injury from a Harley accident that causes me some pain without it. GHK Cu for my loose skin. I also am trying Semax for anxiety. Once I have results for my labs on the 7th I’ll post them for advise what I can do next. They will be my 3rd set of labs since starting test. I’m open to any advise. Ask anything about my routine. I hope I included enough info. I’m not really ready to post pix yet maybe soon

My advice is to cycle your calories. I know some days it's hard to eat on Reta but try to cycle them higher on certain days, especially when you exercise. You should be able to eat more on those days.

Diet, diet, diet. That's going to be the number one thing here. That's why a log is important so you can keep yourself accountable. Make sure you're food prepping.

I track my calories with chat gpt. I also input my workout as I go so I can go back and compare and see my results. My dad’s a chef so I grew up in the kitchen and worked in our restaurants. I love to cook! I get down in the kitchen! I cook several times a week and prepare enough food to eat several meals each time. Makes it easy to grab something if it’s already prepared. I do the shopping and prep all our meals. We do our Reta injections on Sunday so we kinda have a little more appetite Saturday. I usually either cook my girl something she misses with all the dieting or we go out to dinner. I train my old lady 4 days a week. Shes also lost about 50 pounds. She was 42% body fat. Now she’s 27% body fat and has muscles. She looks pretty amazing. Reta made all the difference for both of us. Reta saved my life honestly! In my opinion it’s way more than a weight loss shot. Thanks for the response. I appreciate you guys and any advise you have

this will be awesome. You should start up a log. This way as you go we can help you and guide you with your

Who knew.

Well done on making the changes
Thank you. The most important part for me and honestly the hardest part was quitting drinking. That’s always been my crutch. That’s why I had pancreatitis. It was literally killing me. I feel like a new person now

I take SS-31 and Mots-C for mitochondrial health. pls share updated pics blurr out your face
To be honest it’s a little intimidating posting my pic here because you guys physiques are dialed in. You all look pretty great and I’m just not there yet. Maybe I’ll get the nerve up at some point but I’m still pretty self conscious about my loose skin. So far you all have been real good at making me feel comfortable and good about myself again and I appreciate it. I was so sick for so long I got so far from where I was physically that it’s a little embarrassing.

Thank you bro. I’m glad to be here to learn. I’ve met a few really cool people so far. Found a couple good sources for my gear too. This is the best forum I’ve found so far. I’ve been on a few that were pretty toxic or just not very friendly. A lot of gatekeepers On other forums too. You guys are all awesome so far and I appreciate it

there are definitely fellowships out there for drinking that can help you. Everyone knows about AA, obviously, but there are some online things as well these days where you don't have to go in person. That is a huge thing.

it's more than just tracking calories. It's also about the quality of the food. That's why food prep is crucial.

Thank you. I’m glad to be here to learn from you guys. It’s my first time on gear and I have no drs guidance. My labs are my main concern right now. I’ll post them next eeek when I get results back
Bros, we are glad to have you on here. You are a cool cat.

Honestly bro I’m good. I must have a way stronger constitution than most people I guess, because once I’ve set my mind to something, it’s done! I don’t even think about drinking anymore. That would take everything away that I’ve worked so hard to get back. I’m so into getting my life and health back I’m not about to go backwards. I was on heavy opioids for years and walked away from those too. 16 mg of dilalaudid a day from my dr. CRAZY! Drs hand those out like candy. I haven’t drank in about 2 years next month. I haven’t done blow in about the same amount of time. I’ve been off the pills for 2 1/2 years now. I still smoke pot for the pain and anxiety. Helps me get to sleep when I’m hurting. I think that’s way better than taking opioids and Xanax. I feel so good these days Im not going back to the way things were. I’m more present in life now. I’m getting married after summer. I just started my personal training business again Second Chance Fitness. I’m just staying focused on all the positive things around me now days. There is plenty!
