A couple of my friends had their test levels done and found they both were in the mid 100s. Did it twice with similar results. Both doctors told them they were normal. My friend Tiny was over 500 pounds and is on Reta and has lost almost 100 pounds so far. His test level is so low I’m afraid he’s losing muscle mass. I heard his doctor tell him “why would we want to raise your test level just to raise it?” I couldn’t believe she said that and proceeded to tell him it’s only because he’s fat. He needs to lose weight. His level was under 200! I was blown away! My other friend Carl had to go to a men’s health clinic and pay too much money to get what his primary care dr should have been able to for him with his insurance. He was also mid 100s. My levels weren’t quite low enough to get my dr to help. “Have to be under 300” he told me. I was mid 300s with all the symptoms. It’s bullshit that the system seems to be set up in a way to make it almost impossible to access TRT unless it’s through a pay cash dr

the doctor isn't wrong when they tell someone who is morbidly obese that they need to lose weight to boost testosterone levels. I would not recommend someone who's obese get on TRT. It can be extremely dangerous, thicken their blood, and lead to a stroke. They need to get in top shape first then worry about that.
