Alcohol and Working out

Hey,
So I know alcohol is horrible for working out and cutting weight, but I just wanted to know how bad it is and what it really does to your body. I'm curious if even drinking once away will ruin the progress you made it that week. Thanks! would love to have some feedback :)
 
Depending on what it is. IMO a beer would be better than margaritas and other mixed drinks.

If you're dieting for a show I don't see any room for it though.
 
Alcohol sucks, no one who is serious about working out drinks regularly. The liver which by the way means, To Live, is responsible for like 300 plus different functions. Once alcohol is introduced into the body its stops everything to deal with the poison of alcohol. Yes alcohol is a poison to the body. Most people lie about their consumption about how much they drink. If you are an individual who goes out and has like 15 drinks this is not normal. People love their booze so be it. I do not run with the herd.
 
Well if your going to drink i think hard liquor is better for ya then beer calorie wise,lol, but i dont think it has its place if ur serious about bodybuilding, your body or competing. And I believe in men it raises their progesterone or estrogen levels i forget which but i read that long time ago

i dont mind a class of red once a blue moon. . i dont see it ruining my progress.... i wont how ever touch any alcho while im on cycle. .
 
I don't see an issue with very sporadic drinking as long as you are prepared for the consequences. I make sure I don't have to train the next day or really have anything to do. I have to drink a tremendous amount of liquor and do so continuously to get and stay drunk. My body metabolizes it very quickly. I don't get a hang over, but I feel weak the next day. It is definately counterproductive, but I'm not missing out on an occassional good time with Silk to hopefully gain an extra .1oz of muscle.
 
Unless you're pulling a weekend bender I don't think it's going to hurt you severely. I couldn't train all out if I got drunk over the weekend, but if I just have a couple beers then I can handle the training.

wine is not too bad at all especialy rarely like you drink it
