OK so I have been having back pain for weeks now, so I finally got it sort of looked at.
I have tried an hour back massage, it helped for about 2 hours.
I tried stretching and lowering the gym down to 1-2 days a week and light weight.
I finally went to a dr and he gave me a few prescriptions, one makes me very drowsy (muscle relaxer), the pain "killer" barely works, and the nsaid is good)
They only did xrays which showed some arthritis in my neck but thats all.
Xrays are not really the test you want done, but rather a costly mri.
I do not want to do anything at all invasive bc that is never good, and pain management is always looked at negatively.

I know I am not the only one on here going through this. Any good ideas?
I tried a new email to get something and they f'ed me
Another site pulls through but the goods are not exactly what I am looking for, and most likely under dosed
Locally things are very expensive.

I have to try to deal with this somehow, but the past few days have been unbearable pain, thats why I ended up going to the doc's
any ideas please write them on here or PM me.
No invasive stuff, and no epidurals bc I see how that stuff goes on and it's scary and does not really help as much as it hurts.

Thanks for any input guys and gals

Have you seen a chiropractor? I have had a chiropractor literally save me from being locked up and not able to move. Find one into lifting and sports medicine, not some old guy who cannot put you back into place. The reason I say this is the office I go to the Dr is built like me and he also has a woman Dr. She cannot crack my back and move stuff back into place like he can.

I have had 3 back surgeries, epidurals, disco gram , medication management(pills), physical therapy and even psychological pain counseling. This all took place over a 10 year period. Now to save you some aggravation and mistakes not to mention money there is two things that are best. The first single best thing I ever did and still do to this day is swim. Swimming is the best, if you dont like swimming try Pilate reformer class on the Pilates machine. These cost a few dollars but without a doubt is one of the best machines ever invented. I almost bought one. Problem with this machine is you need instruction and plenty of it to use correctly. What ever you do don't let them touch you. If you have an active flair up give it time to calm did. It will but takes time could be weeks, patience is key along with a complete stretching program.

I am set to see a chiropractor in a couple days, hopefully they do the trick, although I am pretty jaded on my opinions of them. I will not do any invasive or epideral stuff, I have seen outcomes, as well as being present in the O.R. when they are performed, not pretty, and no one is ever like "I sure am glad I got that done because now I can do xyz" Pain mgmt doc's are an option that I am scared to do bc work will find out than look for any reason to can you. This shit def sucks. Having to move obese patients daily is the cause and def doesn't make matters any better...... Good thing that it is now passed where obesity is a disease process.... I am sure no one will take advantage of that to go on disability..................... says metal as sarcastically possible. PPl w no jobs just have to get fat now to get a disability check, and ruin healthcare workers bodies in the process, awesome.
