Hey bud, so today I tried what you had posted with that video. I used 2 plates instead of a 2X4 for under my heals. I went light with 115 pounds but it was the 1st time I did them. I like it kind of hard at first to keep your heels down though, i felt it in my quads, did it at the very end of the workout.:bber: I would reccomend other people trying these who haven't yet.
 
Glad you were able to try them. They really kill your teardrops. I've been doing them for years and still I have people looking at me like I'm stupid, but once you try them, you see why I do them as much as I do. I don't think there's any other exercise that targets them like these
 
It's awkward at first because the movement is much different than anything else and you're constantly fighting not to bounce the weight off your hams or glutes, but once you get used to them and are able to find that "sweet spot" where the weight comes straight up and straight down, it really starts to work
 
This exercise sounds good, I'm going to be trying them this week.
