For those that might know a little more than me about all the blood work stuff. I get blood work done every six months. It is for other reasons than AAS, but they test all the stuff needed. They have always been normal until now. I got some results that were a little off today. My Creatinine and eGFR were off. These test were done a few months ago, so the doctor wants me to do it again and see if it has changed any. My eGFR was 56. It should be above 60 to be in the normal range. Also my Creatinine was 1.48 where it should be from .50-1.30. Of course I was told I need to loose some weight and watch my eating (less protein). So how bad are these numbers? Does taking creatine effect these numbers any? My doctor seemed to think creatine would not affect them. If it did, i would stop taking it for sure, but he thinks it is more of a kidney thing. So what can I do to take better care of my kidneys? Are there any supplements I can take to help out?

I think that if you train hard and drink a lot of water your creatinine levels are off.

I read this somewhere...

While a baseline serum creatinine of 2.0 mg/dL (150 μmol/L) may indicate normal kidney function in a male body builder,

That is good to hear. The doc actually said that is why he wants to do another blood test and a piss test. He said if the piss test was ok then it was exactly that. Something about working out and breaking down muscle makes the levels not normal.

If you can get a good sports Dr. that is the way to go. My previous Dr. in Austin wasn't knowledgeable on the body if you are a bodybuilder or heavy trainer and the levels of different things in your body.
