this isnt the best video...i think Mike wanted to get vid of my biceps more than the actully movement...but what you do is drag the bar up and down your body, keeping your elbows and shoulders back, behind you...

mike will have input on this movement to...so ill let him chime in to...
 
Ok it was hard to tell how you were doing it, but theres another video that u can click on to at the end and they broke it down. I am def going to have to try these next tues. Thanks man
 
I do them for all but my heaviest barbell curls. They are awesome.
swwet Im def trying next week, I only do barbell like every 2nd or 3rd time bc I usually cant help going heavy and forearm splints always follow if im too consistant w them
 
It's been ages since I've done these. I used to do these and use an arm blaster and these two types of curls really killed my arms
 
For some front delts come into play alot when doing regular bar curls or EZ bar curls, drag curls are a good way to take the shoulders out of the movement.

I fall into this category. I've tried these drag curls and just like most other curls feel it bad in my shoulders still
 
drag curls are old school, but still one of the best ways to hit all parts of the biceps. Cant beat em when used here and there in bicep work. Its definitely about form, not weight with this exercise though

Do you find it better to do this with a barbell over an ez bar? how often do you usually do these? I was thinking if I like them next week I will do them every 2nd or 3rd time
 
I have a feeling I may run into the same issue, I feel like a dork bc im excited to try these on tuesday

I do these last in my bicep routine now, and use a pretty light weight, with a straight bar...Hell I even did them on the smith machine tonight..just to change it up...still only used 25lbs plates on each side, for 3 sets of 15 reps...nice and slow, really feeling the contraction...:show:
