Well guys its been two weeks since ive been in the hospital with this heart condition...so tommaorow im going to start eating clean (because if I dont I will look like a fat pig in about month from now) and start some light cardio in the morning and afternoons (20 mins each time) Then on May 5th I go to the doctors for a check up and i hope he gives me the green light to start some light, light training that week...Even if its with 25lbs dumbells or what I'll be happy to just do something...But, I figure the leaner I stay, even with some muscle loss, I know it will be easier to build my body up without having to drop a crap load of bodyfat...

Good luck Chris!! I hope you get approved to start lifting again. I know I go crazy if I go more than a day without touching the weights, so I can imagine it's been a rough couple weeks for you.

*fingers and toes crossed*

Good luck bro!!!! See you at the gym tomorow. Be there around 3:bber:

so what was the dr's conclusion of the heart condition?

its pretty basic really...the left ventracal was only pumping at 20% ...Normal is around 50-55% ...So it was pumping at only half speed..The doctors put the blame in untreated high blood pressure

Get on that blood pressure meds and take an asprin a day also. You only got one heart. And dont worry about this setting you back, all it will do is make you think about things and go about it in a little different maner. Just train smarter not harder. lol.

Did they give you any more specifics? Is there permanent damage to the ventrical? Will it recover? Long term effects and are there additional things that you have to be careful with now?? Dr's will rarely give you the whole picture if they can avoid it, obviously its serious and you are taking the break that you need, but as long as your BP is in check why shouldn't you be ready to pretty much go back to normal with some adjustments?? Most stimulants may be out as well as Lasix.

Im sure hes a little anxious. I know I would be as far as training goes after that diagnosis. Maybe cautious is a better word. I am glad you are getting on track bro. I hope the doc appointment goes well.

That's much better than them saying that you have to quit altogether. So make lemonade out of those lemons and keep your eyes on the prize!

That's awesome man!! I think you'll be back better than ever and with even more motivation! I can't imagine what it must be like to hear that you may not be able to train.
