It just seemed to get in the way of my mind to muscle connection. Love it for cardio, but for a workout, Im better off without it. So no more music for me.

I use to feel naked without music in my ear at the gym, but now i dont use anything either, but i do pump my ipod through the gyms stereo

I can't train right without music in my ears. Plus it helps to keep the dip shits away from me

I get ear aches like 40 minutes after putting the headphones on, and I dont even play it loud, and its not really an ear bud, bc it does go in the ear but also wraps around the top of the ear, I dont know why it aches so soon, and it esp happens fast while im on the treadmill

Im very similar, except I use the music to get pumped up on the first 2 sets, but the last 2 is where i need more concentration. I feel I push more weight when Im not listening to music

I have to have them. No man alive can focus on heavy training with some old ass ACDC or some of the other shit they play in my gym.

I would drop my ipod but there are to many people that want to stop and talk to you if I don't have my headphones in !!

That's exactly why I always have it. I don't always have it on, but I always have ear buds in. I've even taken the ear buds in the gym and not had the ipod. I just put the ear buds in and put the cord in my waistband to make it appear that I was listening to something so people wouldn't bother me. Then when I'm done, people would ask how I could hear them with my ear buds in and I showed them, they laughed of course, but these were friends, not some knuckle head
