What's your approach to Bodybuilding, high intensity or high volume? I actually do both. For chest, legs, and shoulders I do more volume. For back and arms I do high intensity. Don't get me wrong, I still use shit loads of weight on volume days, but I do more sets and shit loads of drop sets on volume days. My back and arms really respond better to high intensity training though. I super set bi's and tri's, but only 3 ALL OUT exercises.

I assume you mean Mentzers HIT or heavy duty as some call it. I hired one of his own PT's back about 6 yrs ago to teach me via phone HIT. It worked really good for at least a year or more. Then my body became accustomed to it and it didn't work so well. The theory is TUL or time under load. The sets take the equilevant of 3 sets due to the time it takes to complete, therefore 3 sets equates to at least 9 sets.

If I'm in a hurry and cant train hi volume, I'll do the HIT. Its great for that reason. When I'm off cycle I'll do a few wks of it to stall until I go back on.

Mike published many books on this and I have 3 of them, they are great reads. The bottom line like we all know is don't ever let your body go into homostatis (sp) meaning stay the same. Vary WO's. I've been lifting for almost 3 decades now and thats paramount to success.
