well and presser since i do his laundry

so now when you refer to "The Skid Mark Kid" we know who you are
talking about. lol I have been around a LONG time. I only have a
few that would do anything for me and visa versa. I have MANY
acquantices but not the same. Funny, real friends you can not talk
to for even years but when you do it was like you talked to them
yesterday.

I have one less friend today .. Found out the friendship was based on lies .. Hate trusting people ,getting hurt and ripped off (gear) . I've tried to keep this one going but today is the day I walk away and make some new friends ..It's on my resolution list

Im about to go to bed so I will read this tomorrow however from the title, the older I get the fewer real friends I have
Agreed with the older part. I'm in early 50's and when I was in 20's I partied my ass off and had dozens of close freinds all bonded by beer and weed. And yes I still keep up BB back then.

Now some 3 decades later, I have only 3-5 friends that I could call to go out (since I'm in pre-constest mode, thats out of the question) for a beer or just call and chat. I just seem to like my solitudal life now I can concentrate on BB'ing, cardio, eating right and keeping my struggling business (gym) open.

I've had a lot of friends die, move away, get married or just lose contact with. At times I do feel alone but then my self control kicks in and I change my thinking. I've been a confirmed bachelor, live alone but am not lonely.

I've always had very few "good" friends. What cracks me up nowadays is how some people brag about how many facebook friends they have, really have they ever met them, hung out with them or anything. I would rather have only one good friend than dozens of acquaintences. I have been very careful as I get older as to who I let into my "inner circle" really I'm not that awesome or anything it's just the way it is. Especially being a bodybuilder, I get very weird precontest and I have very few people who understand and accept me then. Figure if they can put up with me then, they are real friends. Glad to say that since I have moved down here I have had the pleasure of meeting The Dude and his wife. They are truly awesome people and so very supportive of my endeavors. They have driven all over this state to support me when I compete and I have been so truly touched by this. Barely knowing me but still doing so is just awesome. I cannot wait to spend more time with his wife who is just the most awesome girl. So all in all I have my hubby, a friend up north, my family and now the dude and his wife. I think that anyone who has anyone to call a friend in this world is truly blessed. Although I don't mind being alone, it's nice to know that I don't have to be. Oh yeah these are my two bestest friends below :)

I've always thought that being a BB'er is hard on a social life. Like I said before, I was quite the partier right out of high school and the next 5 or 6 yrs.

Now I find it hard to go out and not have someone try to get me to drink or eat crap food. Society is just not set up for a BB'ing lifestyle. Which is why a lot of us are viewed as somewhat social outcasts or misfits. What a shame
