The closest I can get is by doing twists. I'm sure there is a technical name, but I just call em twists. Put your arms out to your sides and twist as far to the left as possible, then to the right. That also gives you the outer line of definition on your abs. It also works well if you can put a broom handle across your shoulders and twist.
 
Yeah, standing or I think the advanced version is bent forward at the waist. They really tighten your waist and the outter abs.
 
the name is broom twists. i saw what Ox is talking about on Milos Sarcev Secrets of the Pros video when he was talking about Abs.
 
best way that I've found is to sit upright in a chair (no slouching), exhale all your air as you would do in any ab exercise...then instead of crunching forward, crunch in a 45 degree angle (it's a very slight twist of the hip and shoulder) you really have to feel the muscles working...

not a straight forward crunch not a side bend but somewhere in between-you are hadly even moving-imagine you trying to twist your pec in a downward motion to touch your opposite hip

Serratus muscles don't have the potential for growth that other muscles do. I've never done anything for them, but free spinning a broom on my shoulders doesn't seem to me like it would do shit. You have to fight against weight or gravity. I would do crunches where to twist to either side to target them. I pretty much always have them and abs so I don't really train either except for a couple times before a show.
 
thanks guys, I started doing pullovers about 2 months ago and im keeping them in my every week routine, I do it on chest day
 
ok cool, right now I just do close grip pullovers, I will have to mix it up
 
I do pullovers at the end of chest day to stretch my chest cavity out and it seems to really work in this like everyone else has said
 
i agree with DUDE that they don't have much potential for growth...i think it all comes down to diet...if you are lean enough then they will pop nicely
