1ml is approximately 1.18 grams, so using a syringe 10g approximately 8.474ml so 8.5ml will get you there. Or, take a 10ml syringe place on your scale zero it, draw-up liquid 8.5 ml weight it, draw up til it reads 10g, or 11g to account for a 10% loss, between syringe filter, no under-dosing, more than one way to skin a cat. Also, write down the weight of the empty syringe for reference, so when your scale turns off because of distractions you can just subtract your syringe weight from total weight, which gives you your amount in the syr. If I were making it for my lab rats I may do it like that.
