haha you say that now, but a) an ultrasound can do absolutely nothing for a kidney stone, or any stone for that matter B) if you can't pass the stone it will continue to grow, which depending on where it is could lead to kidney failure and them needing to remove the kidney if a perc neph can't be done (them putting a hole in your back). I hope it's small enough so you can pass it, or if they ESWL you that it breaks it up enough, however they usually scope you, basket the pieces after the ESWL or laser as well , and if they can't get everything place a ureteral stent. Not trying to scare you, but thats pretty typical of kidney stones unless they are small and they think you will pass it. After they order the KUB (xray) on you the size will be included typically in the Rad's report which you can get from medical records a couple days after the pic, or wait to hear back from your primary which will most likely take longer
