So as some of you know, I have had to quit the gym due to school and work and not having the time to do to the gym. So I read up on the actor Gerarld Butler and his workout for the movie 300 and I must say it's a pretty intense workout which I have started. I have obtained a very massive and heavy tractor tire and have begun to flip it. what are your thoughts on tire flipping for size and strength?

sure why not. Get some logs too.

why do you have time to flip tires and not go to the gym?

because the workout i do does not take that long and im not tryin to get any bigger right now because boot camp is not that far away just trying to stay in shape and the gym costs money i dont currently have.

bump the eating bro but to answer your question I think what you're looking for is functional strength which you will get from flipping tires, you may or may not lose weight based on your diet but getting ready to lose some in basic if you have any extra weigth to spare.

either way, flipping a heavy ass tire that weighs at least 500lbs if not 600 wore me out! My whole body is sore...The only muscle group in my body that isn't are my calves and tri's. I love the tire flip I think I like it better than deads. I deadlift the tire then bring it to my chest then push it over.

ive done it before its a crazy tough workout man it should work well it will help strengthen just about everything on your fuckin body lol yeah bump for the logs too if you can get your hands on some.

I'm mainly using it to get stronger and work my stamina up. Hell the tire flipping has been damn good cardio too. I'm doing all this to keep what muscle I have and hopefully to cut some BF off. And also using it for my pre-boot camp workout too.

can you get your hands on a sheet of metal bro reason im asking is my buddy a powerlifter i work out with sometimes all he uses is tires logs etc on his maintance days and shit its nuts. Get you a heavy sheet of metal with a hook on it and use it as a sled or buy one they can be pretty cheap it helps a shitload with leg endurance and all around strength i used to use a parachute thing for running when i was playin college ball as a catcher and it helped me a shit ton.
