After about two solid weeks of thinkIng everything over I've decided to make a change. I have come to the realization that with my family and 70+ hour a week work load (which isn't changing anytime soon) I'm making a switch in not only training but also in lifestyles. I'm putting the thought of getting on stage again WAY back in the back of mind and I'm going to pick an old passion of mine back up.
I ran cross country and tge 10K in college and truly loved it. I started running 9 days ago and I'm really coming into my own again. My endurance is there cardiovascularly it's just my damn legs are killing me. My goal is to train for the next 19 weeks then do a half marathon on Dec. 8th. That should get my weight down pretty good and I will turn my attn to a sprint triathlon on my birthday April 14th. The sprint triathlon is a 600 meter swim, 32 mile bike and and 10k run.
This has been a hard decision to make but I can't rationalize the gear, the cost, the food, etc on a sport I don't have the time to compete in. I love bbing a lot and will of course follow every inch of it, it's just not for me rt now. I may keep a log with updated pics each week as I feel there is going to be very dramatic change in my physique over the next few months. 10 days ago I was 248, I weighed this morning and I was down to 238 but I feel great.
I'm going to continue to weight train 3 days a week concentrating on the big three lifts deads, squats, and bench which I've never really done before. I love weight training and I will always do it even if it might set me back a little with my other sport training. Im really Looking forward to this new chapter!
