If anyone is interested below is some additional info on the bike.
This bike has a lot of stories to tell and a lot of work has gone into it. (which I always do myself) I actually drag race it sometimes in the summer at a local track which is a lot of fun. Usually does 9.2 pretty consistently.
Anyway...The bike has dynoed at 172 hp at the rear wheel, the MPH gages go to 220 and under the right conditions a bike like this can actually get near 200 mph on radar. (not that I will ever see that or would ever try.. were talking salt flats and perfect wind conditions.. and a light person... etc etc)
But the neat thing is it is one of the last of the unrestricted bikes as far as max MPH goes. Before the manufacturers voluntarily restricted all bikes to 187 mph max.
We have some forums much like this one where we work on and talk obsessively about our zx-12r's. Since it is a rather expensive/large bike most of the people that own them are a little older. These are generally not the kind of bikes the young squids ride around on. Though I have been known to do some stupid shit here & there. That's for sure...LOL Nowadays I just like working on it more than anything. I want to get a nice cruiser someday as well for riding with my harley buddies, but I have to keep this one no matter what as it is my baby and I have a lot of aftermarket shit installed on it.
