I use a slightly more narrow than shoulder width stance on deads. What do you guys prefer and what do you think is more effective for back development?? Obviously I can go heavier on partials. I place the barbell just below the knees. When I get to going very heavy on full deads I feel it alot in my inner thigh hamstring area.

Partials or rack deads are great for the finishing part of the movement, you'll get more out of your back for that movement. Full deads do require a lot of hams to lift the weight to around your knees. So if you're looking for more back focus then rack pulls will give you more, but the full range of motion in full deads will work everything together.

ive been doing them both, sometimes i do 3 sets full pull and 3-4 burn out on the rack, then some times ill do just heavy deads from the floor, or like a did last week i did rack pulls heavy, i did 6 sets a that.

i think their both important for development throughout the body. evey one is diffrent

Rack deads or partical deads are great in a back workout for buildign mass depends where you put them. deads are great for overall mass building too but form is critical.
i rotate them and other compound exercises in my current back workout.
if you want an example let me know.

I will mainly only do partials to break a plateau. If I can't get a certain amount in a full dead then I know that I need to focus on the lockout so I'll do rack pulls for a couple of weeks and then go back at the weight I was stuck at and it works to get through that
