Pectoral Strain?

I just got back from snowboarding about a month ago and I believe I starined my pec while I was boarding. I didnt feel it till the next morning and it was soar until I got it loosened up and it was like that every day for about a week. So when I got home I waited 2 more weeks to lift again. I was in my second set and noticed it felt like it was a little tight but no pain at all. So I only did one more set which was a mistake because the next day it was hurting in the morning again. So here I am another 2 weeks have gone by and it isnt hurting anymore. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how long I should wait. Or if theres anything else I should do for it.

It can take a long time for a pulled muscle to heal. You'll have to lay off the normal weight you use for a while. What you can do is let it heal so that it doesn't hurt so much again, then use very light weights, making sure you go through the entire range of motion slowly. The idea is not to do a workout, but to give yourself physical therapy. It will probably produce some pain too, but it should diminish quickly if done right.
 
Thanks for the advice... I didnt produce any pain last time till the next day. I am going to give it one more week of recovery and then try light weights like you sugest. Anyone else have any sugestions?
