prob one of my favorite arm exercises in my workout....so when i was able to put the 45s on each side and do nice slow reps i was pretty happy....well i have been adding 10s with it and 5s once in a while....well the other day i did 45s on each side and 25s ....at first i had a few people looking at me like i was foolish...well i got off 3 nice slow reps...boy did i work for them but it felt great
 
agreed stout lift keep up the good work. Thats why i deadlift in a complete different area of the gym so people dont stare at me the whole time and i can do my own thing.
 
That's awesome, bro. I know the feeling of people staring well. I usually find it strange that they are really staring at me because I don't feel like I'm that big--yet :).

I was laughing so friggin hard I was crying on that one. I have to do that shit next deadlift day.
 
twist up a ketchup packet and put it in your teeth on the last rep bite down on that bitch and make it look like your squirting blood out of your mouth. I bet they never watch you again after that one.
 
ya its a good feeling on a personal level when you do better then you think your going to do.......i kinda laughed to myself after my set....i couldnt believe what i was seeing....not that i consider myself big...(although one day i hope to be....right now 5'09 224lbs bf prob round 16%) but after my set there was a guy behind me who was about 185lbs and walked like he was 285lbs that took the strait bar off the flat bench and had 45s on each side....he started doing curls with it.....which if he did them correctly i would be impressed...but he was swinging and arching his back....then he put on more weight and continued with his form...lol....i thought to myself ...why bother...maybe just me being critical but i had to share that cause it makes me shake my head
 
i just rip out a fart when someone stares at me. If they dont laugh, fuck em - they cant take a joke.
 
how are your arms responding with the HEAVY/SLOW/LOW reps?? any different? (I like the ketsup idea - lol)
 
sometimes i make a "guest appearance" at the big gym in town when my gym closes for holidays. thats when i get the stares real bad. usually never from guys in my weight/strength range but smaller guys with a chip on their shoulder. thats when i ease from the 80 pound dumbell hammers and strap to the 100s for a couple sets of 10. that usually sends them away if not i go to the 110s. they usually end up real far away working on some machine with pins (pins near the top not pins at the bottom!)
 
mcgaret i like the heavy /slow /low reps....get great pumps ....i have just started doing this a few weeks ago so its hard to tell if im getting much for results but i do feel like i have gained some strenth....trying to get the arms up to 20" and right now there round 18....no pump included...true measurement
