Well I got heat exhaustion for the second time in a week, been drinking gallons of fluids. I just cant take it like I could when I was younger, I think its time to find a inside job before something bad happens to me.

that shit's no joke, got it down in FL about 6 years ago. Felt fine then all of the sudden (no rhyme or reason) I started puking...
like a dumbass I didn't throw in the towel, I kept trying to work and kept puking...then I was sitting under a tree sipping water and puking that up-this went on for about 3 hrs
finally the foreman called the safety man and he picked me up and took me to my car-told me to get some gatorade and go home and slowly sip it
I went to the gas station and collapsed when I got out of my car-my legs quit working due to the loss of electrolytes...
that really sucked, walking in a gas station to buy gatorade-I looked like a 90 year old man without a walker

i feel you on the heat. when it was really hot the past two weeks even with drinking water my coworker and I were sweating so bad our blue work tshirts turned white from sweating so bad. people in the office I work next to were complaining about the heat when they had to go outside. I wanted to smack the shit out of them for complaining when we were out in the heat working and they just had to walk to their cars.
Thankfully I never had an issue with this, but i hear its very dangerous, and you can die from it.

I've never had it either, but I was afraid a couple times on the softball field. It was 100 here yesterday with a heat index of 110. I broke a sweat walking from my car into the store.
It was 112 actual temp here yesterday I live in HELL.
It's close to 120 today on the heat index with about 1000% humidity, so I called in sick, they don't pay me enough to have a heat stroke.

Haha, good call. I wouldn't be able to step outside in that heat. I'd melt into a puddle on the pavement.
oh yeah it can fuck you up good, this is no shit...one of the guys that I worked with down there got heat stroke, was in the ER for a few days and when he came out his body couldn't sweat anymore...
I was told this and I thought bullshit, but no it would be in the middle of summer down in FL and the guy never had a drop of sweat on him
real dangerous for him because now his body had no way of cooling itself
I've done almost exactly this, except I didn't puke. I was unlucky enough to run out of salt so I just flopped on the ground like a fish trying to get the cramp out of one side so I could get it out of the other side. It sucked, I went home downed my gatorade and passed out for 8 hours. Heat like this is no joke. This week has been half days.

the thing that pissed me off the most was this fucker that I was working with was cussing me out the whole time because he was pissed that he had to do something, fucking carried his ass for almost 2 weeks because he was lazy and the one day that he had to carry mine he cussed me out...
damn cocksucker I told him you can talk to me like that when I'm sick I wanna hear you say that to me when I'm healthy, after that day he never said another word to me and I got transfered to another crew-fucking faggot!

The guys on my crew just laughed, as would I had the situation been reversed. I cut my thumb off when I was green (they sewed it back) and the 2 guys I still talk to from then still laugh and make jokes about it. Probably good thing you got transferred but that would set me off too.
don't know what you do for a living but you must work with some cool guys...

Buddy of mine went to the hospital after passing out completely from heat exhaustion... by the time he left the hospital he had gained 34lbs in just 3 days... sucked down bag after bag of fluid. Kidney function and everything are terrible when you are that dehydrated... Stay safe man.

Yea bro, glad you're ok, definitely not something to take lightly. An 18 year old from my hometown just died at Army bootcamp from heat exhaustion. It is very sad, but unfortunately, it happens
