Do any of you train when your absolutely hammered with fatigue? Is it better to have the day off or push your self and go hard!! I have been getting tired lately but still pushing hard - the thing is, I feel instantly better once my training is over and I'm all pumped!!
(BTW Training five days a week alternating muscle groups)

Unless I'm obviously sick or overtrained I force myself to go. I on occasion just get burned out with work and home where I just feel like shutting down. In those cases I make myself hit the gym otherwise I'm afraid I fall into a rut of not training. Like you most of the time I fell better after I train.

I've found that taking some time off now and then really helps. 1-4 weeks. When I get back all my weights go up shortly after (Working a body part twice) and I can push myself harder. It helps at a plateau. Seems to shock the body. IMHO.

depends how long and how tired. If I am tired for a reason I don't go. If I am mentally tired I go.

Pretty much what I wanted to say ... while on, I always seem to feel a little more tired ... working out does give me a boost of energy, though ...

sometimes i get the best workouts when i did not want to train. so ususally when i feel tired, i give it a go anyway. but like was mentioned, if your tired constantly, then you may be over training, of there could be something maybe a little more serious. for me my iron level was at 14. so i was exhausted alot.

if you still are having good wor=kouts then fine go for it

BUT if you feel fatigued through the whole workout then take some time off
