im an ez curl bar guy, otherwise my shit hurts to if i use the straight bar for curls
 
I limp wrist barbell curls now and not only get better stimulation in my biceps, but I don't irritate my forearms. I basically let my wrists hang down and put my thumbs under the bar. I also use alot less weight
 
I always put my thumbs under bar with my fingers! I never wrap my thumb on anything
