has anybody tried to buy regular items not aas or anything with any luck because I'm thinking about buying oats & peanut butter in bulk

I have used Alibaba back in 1999-2001 I believe it was back then, I found a supplier for Nice Leather Weight Lifting belts. It was pretty new back then i believe but now days you can make sure the suppliers are varifyed* and I think they might have ratings now, back then it was just a shot in the dark and was so hard to trust because the prices were so incredible you would think everyone was scamming you, until i realized its just realy that cheap to purchase manufactured items direct from china, so yeah i had a good experience back then for weight lifting belts but have no clue how Alibaba is now, but i know they blew up from when they started out

what items are you looking at through Alibaba?

It's hard to bust those Chinese suppliers. A lot of them on Alibaba are fake and scammers. You have to be very careful. See if they have the Escrow payment.
