This is pretty nuts... I'm finding that I have to "relearn" how to train "normally" - or at least how I used to, which was more of a traditional bodybuilding type of program as opposed to the more powerlifting oriented 5x5 scheme I was doing. During that time I did zero shoulder or arm specific training. While I didn't lose any size in those areas - or if I did it is only a very small amount - I DID lose a lot of strength. And it's hard to get my head back to splitting up my training to include those. I'm doing shoulders today.
I am hoping that the major change in training is going to induce a growth spurt.
Meanwhile, even tjough my strength on bench press has gone down significantly as a result of the break in training and changing up to give my shoulder a break, I definitely see that my chest retains most if not all of the size it gained during the 5x5 period. My wife confirmed this. There is no doubt my legs have shrunk, since I couldn't train legs at all while my leg was broke. And even now it's still healing, I'm taking it easy on it. Doc cleared me to do "whatever I'm comfortable with", so I am being very honest with myself about what's uncomfortable. This means I'm squatting 315 max and doing higher reps, like 10, instead of trying to go heavier for 5.
I am down to 197 waking weight; 205 night time weight. This is down from 208-210 waking weight and 215 or so night time. But I'm also leaning up. I was pretty close to 15% at my heaviest; I'm getting down closer to 9 or 10 now. I would love to be 205 or 210 and 8%, but without a lot of gear, which I can't handle without pretty disagreeable side effects, and because of the time and effort it takes to eat enough calories to support that much mass, I am dounting that I'll be able to get there. At least not any time soon. I don't like being 15%fat; it's extremely uncomfortable ffor me to jave a roll oozing over my belt when I sit down. I just can't handle it. So if I get much more growth, which I will continue to attempt, it's gonna be slow.
I'm currently at 200 mg a week TRT test cyp dose and nothing else. I will almost definitely add in some MC igf-1 again at some point; I'm really tjinking hard about giving HGH a try amd see what that does for me along with my TRT. But for right now gonna stick to what I'm doing and see what happens!
