I used to always use Humulin R before. I had a few bouts with Hypo, nothing too serious. I just started Humalog and so far I like it alot. I dont get as tired and its in and out so much faster. I only use it post workout, so I dont want my insulin levels raised for too long. SOmetimes I workout later at night and with the Humalog I can take it and go to sleep 2 hours later and not worry.
only tryed "R" myself and wasnt fond of the feeling it gave me, I would like to try log though but i would still be very hesitent to go to bed only 2 hours after shot like mentioned above, maybe i will give the I.M a try with "R"
I use R. I like it. Its much safer and I like having a prolonged activity. I just gorge on the protein and keep the carbs moderate during that time. Tried it IM and didnt like it. Didnt give me enough time to pack in the calories that I wanted. I wen t a little hypo too.
