I try to point out to people that body building/ power lifting has more to do with diet than anything really.

I have a hard time deciding what the ratio is though. Is it 80% diet? meaning you have exactly the protein, cals, carbs, ect and 20% what you do in the gym???
 
I wouldn't say powerlifting is anything even close to bbing in term of the ratio of diet to training. I think ur pretty close if not spot on with ur ratio of 80/20 for bbing but powerlifting I don't think is anywhere near that ratio
 
yeah.. very true press. Power lifters can get away with eating whatever the hell they want.
 
i agree 80% sounds pretty good for BB but powerlifting id say 50% or so because still if your not eating the right amounts of food you wont make gains no matter what.
