I don't use them for anything as of right now, but it's to the point where I feel like I might benefit from them. When doing deads for example, my grip gives out way before my back does. I don't want to have tiny forearms, but also don't want to hinder or prolong development in other body parts.

What do you guys do, straps or no straps?

i mostly use them for heavy rows and shrugs...
i used to use them for almost everything, but when i noticed my wrists and forearms
were the size of an infants, i stopped lol

I was very genetically gifted with forearm development, but they are very weak. I use wraps for everything including heavy side laterals and dumbell curls....

I use them on heavy back days and I'll go to them on dumbbell curls when using heavy weights.

I used to use them all the time but didn't really know why or if they helped any. Just one of those things the big guy in the gym is using so I thought I needed them to. I have very small wrist but at the same time they are very strong so I really don't use anything such as straps or gloves and can't really tell a difference when I do......

I use them for shrugs, deadlifts, and rows. I want to work the target muscles, not just my grips so I don't want my grip to be the limiting factor. Today I thought I would try them for pullups just for fun and I am not sure they are worth the effort.

BTW, I gave up straps in favor of Versa Gripps. I am a little dyslexic when it comes to wrapping straps but I love these.

I use them pretty much always for one-arm DB rows and deadlifts, but once in a while they come in handy for lat pulldowns and seated rows too!

I just bought my training partner Versa Gripps for her birthday 2 weeks ago and she is in love with them. Now I'm a little jealous... I want a pair... can't wait to try them!

i only use them on very heavy pulling lifts, which is limited to deads, rackpulls and thats about it.
i dont need them on any other exercises cause i dont go that heavy, usually 8 reps min and closer to 12.
my huge callouses are proof.

Ok, I don't feel so bad about needing them then. Like StealthPump said, I don't want my grip to be the limiting factor when doing deads, shrugs, etc. Thanks for the input!

shrugs, bent over, just about any back movement it really helps me hit my back harder. Plus i have tendonitus in my left wrist now so i relaly use them alot now. I already have big ass forearms and wrists and i can hold 405 on a static hold so my grip is good enough for me i dont really care how much i can hold anymore i dont powerlift anymore so if it helps me hit bodyparts i use them.
