Brewing Beef! Iain Valliere Versus Antoine Vaillant and Blessing Awodibu

Brewing Beef! Iain Valliere Versus Antoine Vaillant and Blessing Awodibu

Iain Valliere appears to be waging a war of words with Antoine Vaillant and Blessing Awodibu.
It appears that top bodybuilders Iain Valliere, Antoine Vaillant, and Blessing Awodibu are embroiled in some online beef. Things started with a simple post made by Vaillant. The post was a comparison picture between Vaillant and Valliere from the recent Vancouver Pro. Valliere would end up beating Vaillant by one point at the show, which likely left a bad taste for the Quebec based bodybuilder.
Everyone enjoys a good rivalry in sports. It brings another level of vested interest in the outcome of events. While competing with honor and integrity is always a great thing to see, it’s even more exciting to see when two or more individuals are invested in the defeat of the other. It appears that a healthy new rivalry is brewing between Ian Valliere, Antoine Vaillant, and Blessing Awodibu.
Antoine Vaillant posted a back comparison pic of he and Iain Valliere at the Vancouver Pro show. Vaillant clearly implies that he beat Valliere from the back at the show. As such, it appears that Vaillant is out for revenge at the 2022 Olympia where he’ll encounter Valliere once again.
What do you guys think?.Me and @iainvalliere from the @vanproshow … #20weeksout Mr. ⭕️ round 2?

Valliere Responds, Blessing Chimes In
Iain Valliere made a comment of his own on the post stating the following.
Oh you want a 4th whooping I see ?

To make matters even more interesting, it appears that Awodibu is getting in on the action as well.
@antoinev87 this’s not even close ?, you smoked this dude , zero back details just size , that’s why he thinks bodybuilding is all about size now , and even when it’s come to size you made him look like a child lol and where’s the damn calves on this guy ?.
Valliere’s Harsh Words for Blessing
Blessing Awodibu would essentially inject himself in the middle of the conversation. Awodibu believes that Vaillant deserved the win over Iain Valliere. Suffice it to say, Valliere disagreed with Awodibu’s assessment of the situation.
@blessing_awodibu you’re about as good a judge as you are a bodybuilder. No wonder your physique looks like a child made it out of playdoh.
All of this from one post. Judging from the silence of Antoine Vaillant, he doesn’t want any kind of serious beef. He did, however, spark a great deal of interest in the outcome at the 2022 Olympia.
Are you more or less excited to see Antoine Vaillant, Iain Valliere, and Blessing Awodibu at the 2022 Olympia?

Antoine Vaillant Looks Incredible Ahead of His Return at the Vancouver Pro

Antoine Vaillant Looks Incredible Ahead of His Return at the Vancouver Pro

Antoine Vaillant looks ready to make his return at the Vancouver Pro.
Top Canadian bodybuilder Antoine Vaillant is looking impressive as he gets ready to step on stage at the Vancouver Pro this weekend. With a number of issues holding Vaillant back from competing in recent years, the talented bodybuilder is ready to show he still has plenty left in the tank.
When it comes to having faith, you can’t just have it in the good times. There are going to be times where the odds aren’t in your favor, where circumstances arise that will completely take you by surprise and challenge you. Challenge your entire perspective, in fact. In those times, you must have faith above all else. If not, you’ll be threatened to be consumed by your own self-doubt and negative energy. Progress will grind to a halt, and you won’t be able to achieve the dreams that you set for yourself.
It would have been easy for Antoine Vaillant to completely give up on his bodybuilding career after discovering he had heart issues. With so many top bodybuilders passing away in recent years, my heart scare would be a love for anyone to consider hanging it up. But rather than backing away from the sport that he loves so much, Vaillant is choosing to continue to train and compete. In fact, the talented bodybuilder will be competing at this weekend’s Vancouver Pro.
With hopes of making it onto the Olympia stage this year, Antoine Vaillant has been training hard despite his unfortunate circumstances. Recently, Vaillant confirmed that he is still training despite the heart news that he received. He isn’t ready to give up on bodybuilding quite yet. Despite not competing for quite some time, Vaillant still has a truly impressive physique. His setbacks only allowed him to continue to build his resolve. Vaillant chose to have faith even in the dark times.
Now ahead of the Vancouver Pro, Antoine Vaillant is showing off his impressive prep as well as his equally remarkable physique.
We all need support. Sometimes it has to come from your own decisions.. to let people help. Accepting help might be a sign of vulnerability, but not of weakness.

The French Canadian bodybuilder is looking incredible as ever as he heads back to the posing stage.

If I’m getting ready for this weekend, does that make me a weekend warrior?

Are you excited for the return of Antoine Vaillant at the Vancouver Pro?

Antoine Vaillant To Continue Training Following Heart Condition: ‘I Never Said I Would Stop Bodybuilding’

Antoine Vaillant To Continue Training Following Heart Condition: ‘I Never Said I Would Stop Bodybuilding’

Antoine Vaillant shared that there are “no blockages” in his heart.
Antoine Vaillant has been off the stage this season and now we know why. The Men’s Open competitor has been dealing with a heart issue that has kept him out of bodybuilding competition. In a recent YouTube video, Vaillant shared an update on his health and expressed his interest to continue training.
Vaillant competed at the 2020 Olympia and finished in 14th place. At this event, he showed off a physique that dubbed him as one of the up-and-comers in the division. Last year, Vaillant shared that he had a heart condition and was undergoing tests to see what the problem was.
Vaillant was examined by many doctors over the last year. He underwent a Calcium Score test, which is a heart exam that checks coronary arteries. During this exam, doctors explained that Vaillant is in the one percentile.

Antoine Vaillant Remains Committed To Bodybuilding

There has been a recent string of deaths in bodybuilding that has hit the sport hard. This has caused many competitors to focus on their health and begin consulting different medical professionals. Despite his condition, Antoine Vaillant remains committed to bodybuilding and will return to training while getting healthier.

“Of course, I’m healthy. The damage that was done to it from the past and the causes, a combination of things, but for sure a long time having high blood pressure was probably like the main cause…When I did all the party drugs with the problems I had in the past, that didn’t help but yeah, I’m doing blood work every four weeks and everything is stabilized and checked out and if something is like what happen with the blood work, I make choices.”
Antoine Vaillant reported that there were no blockages in his heart but there was minor plaque found in his arteries. Vaillant is now focused on getting back in the gym and ultimately on the bodybuilding stage.
“I never said I would stop bodybuilding or training. If they watch my whole videos, actually playing that I did further testing, there’s no blockages so there is a little plaque but at my age, it happens.”
Vaillant decided to get his health checked out and is hoping that others will follow his lead. This has become an issue in bodybuilding surrounding PEDs and it could benefit all other competitors.
“I checked my health and I said ‘look, I found something and you guys should check it too.’ I’ve had my own problems with addiction that I could not tell anyone online and do it on my own with my support here but I wanted to tell people. Why? To help people.
We’re all going to die someday. A lot of friends got checked out because of me. Everybody can hate all they want, I’m doing good. I’m good with that. Everything is cool. If something wasn’t, I’d be the first to accept and make the right decision.”

Antoine Vaillant Reveals Heart Issues Are Keeping Him From Competing

Antoine Vaillant Reveals Heart Issues Are Keeping Him From Competing

Antoine Vaillant speaks on his heart health.
It appears that Antoine Vaillant is being forced out of bodybuilding competition due to heart issues. The bodybuilder talked about his recent issues and his frustrating journey to discover what’s going on with his heart.
Having health issues keep you from doing what you love can be a truly irritating prospect. Competitive athletes have to deal with injuries all the time that prevent them from performing. A torn muscle or a broken bone can be a truly debilitating injury that can keep you from training and executing when it’s game time. But what can be even worse is having a health issue that isn’t so easily fixed. For Antoine Vaillant that very issue is his heart health.
A talented bodybuilder with a ton of experience and up side, Antoine Vaillant has a great deal left in the tank. Unfortunately he’s been unable to return to the bodybuilding stage due to health issues revolving around his heart.

Heart Issues Explained

In a recent video, Antoine Vaillant explained what is going on with his heart issues and how it’s kept him from competing. Vaillant touched on the fact that his initial tests were favorable. Then he did the calcium scoring tests and things began to look grim.

“Then I did the calcium scoring test to see if there would be markers of possible, potential plaque buildup and clogged arteries and things of the sort. As Dr. Khan hooked me out with this and that, I went to this clinic and did this CT scan, it’s like a big donut, a big MRI thing, a deep one. I hate those.
“So it was just like a little donut you go in there, and it was without the dye for the contrast. It was just a scan to get the calcium score.
“He was kind of like; well, I was freaking out after. He wasn’t freaking out, but he told me after that we need to do further testing because I’m in the 99 percentile. I said, “what does that mean?” He said, for my age and gender, I’m into 99 percent, I’m in the 1 percent, so 99 percent of people that are my age and sex have a better result than me. So what the hell.
“Anyways, it said for my section of age or the 99 percentile or whatever, that I would have a heart attack possible, or a heart attack in 3-5 years.”

Truly frightening stuff for Vaillant.

Antoine Vaillant Appears Downsized After Bicep Injury

Antoine Vaillant Appears Downsized After Bicep Injury

Antoine Vaillant appears to have lost a significant amount of size after his bicep injury.
Antoine Vaillant recently posted some images showcasing his downsized physique. Vaillant’s recent bicep injury has hindered his progress and has in fact taken a toll on his physique. He lost a significant amount of size after being unable to train. Now the bodybuilder is hoping to battle his way back.

Injuries absolutely suck. There’s no reason to sugarcoat things. Anyone who’s been sidelined with an injury understands the true woes of how debilitating it can be. It can slow progress, halt it even. In the worse case scenario it can result in reversing all the hard work an athlete has put into bettering themselves and taking things to the next level. There’s nothing worse than that feeling.
It’s something that Antoine Vaillant has had to suffer through.
The talented bodybuilder was on the rise, pushing himself to the next level. Antoine Vaillant had built up a pretty significant physique, regularly weighing in at over 300lbs. But that all changed when he suffered a terrible bicep injury.
Downsized
Since suffering the injury it appears that Antoine Vaillant has lost a significant amount of size. He went from weighing over 300lbs to dropping to 279lbs. You can tell that he’s lost a significant amount of weight in his recent Instagram posts.

Bicep update : 2 months post surgery!
You can tell my left bicep is smaller, but I actually did my first curls yesterday. 12.5 lbs dumbells curls baby in yo face. The attachement seems to have went well, once the bicep is full again it should look good enough! What do you guys think?
Weight : 279 lbs

Another post demonstrates perfectly just how much smaller Antoine Vaillant is. The bodybuilder looks undersized in his recent updates.

The Road Back
That said Antoine Vaillant has been training hard to get back to his former glory. He’s been acquitting himself well in doing so.

I am now 2 months post surgery. I got bicep tendon reattachment surgery at the end of May right before going into my fifth rehab centre for addiction. Before the relapse I was 310 lbs, went down below 270, went back up to 275-280 in rehab, came out, stopped snacking and started eating my meals and doing cardio fasted every morning.
I am between 277 and 282 right now with less body fat. I lost 40+ lbs and gained about a dozen back. Here I am today with a subpar physique compared to the bodybuilding elites. I used to care about how big or small I was, but brushing death a few times really puts things into perspective ha ha! Plus I think it’s interesting how the body can change and adapt to things. That’s why I don’t care posting even when looking “small”, it makes the comeback more interesting.

Training to Return to Form
Antoine Vaillant has plotted out some great training to build back better. Below he details his recent training.

I am currently priming my body for the next off season push for mass, to get ready for the 2022 season. Yesterday was my first real back workout where I could use enough weight to at least get a pump! Here is what I did :
Superset A : Wycked cable pull : 4×15
Superset A : Seated cable row : 4×12
Superset B : Panatta supported T-bar : 4×12
Superset B : M-Torture low lat row : 4×12
Panatta high row : 4×12
Supported bent over row with weird bar : 4×10
Mars bar good morning : 4×10
These are all done with light weight as you saw, but I heed to listen to what my bicep is telling me. For example, it felt weird when doing the Panatta t-bar with 1 plate a side so I had to go down to a quarter. I like deadlifts and rack pulls but these can’t be done right now so I used a comfortable version of the conventional good mornings to activate somewhat the same muscles. Mars bar felt great for that! Injuries suck but you can work around them, there is no excuses. I always say : “AS LONG AS I AM GOING TO MOVE I AM GOING TO TRAIN!”

The good part is that Vaillant is making a solid recovery and ready to push his body again. Antoine Vaillant is ready to get himself back in top condition. While it can’t be known if he’ll return to his previous condition, what is certain is that he’ll be pushing himself hard to make a return to form.

Antoine Vaillant Opens Up About Relapse In Recent Video

Antoine Vaillant Opens Up About Relapse In Recent Video

Antoine Vaillant recently posted two videos on YouTube to discuss his recent relapse.
It is no secret that Antoine Vaillant has had a difficult past. He has battled drug addiction since his early days as a professional. After getting back on track a bit, Vaillant took to YouTube to discuss his recent relapse.
Vaillant burst onto the scene as a professional and quickly became one of the top Canadian bodybuilders. From the time he began competing, Vaillant faced problems with drugs. It has been a difficult road over the last few years for Vaillant. He competed in the 2018 Toronto Pro but took a break following the competition.
Vaillant came back onto the scene when he placed seventh in the 2020 New York Pro. It all came full circle for Vaillant when he stepped onto the stage once again. Vaillant took home first place in the 2020 California Pro and qualified for the 2020 Mr. Olympia, where he finished 14th.
After a few slip ups over the last year, Vaillant was able to stay the course and get back on track. He suffered a torn biceps and this opened the door once again. Vaillant filmed his YouTube videos on May 31 and posted them on the platform on July 1. This is where he was able to open up to the public about his recent relapse.
“Today is the 31st of May and you guys don’t know yet at this date, but tomorrow, I’m going back to rehab. Not the bicep rehab. Rehab rehab. The drug addiction rehab,” Vaillant said in the video.

Vaillant explains how he did not feel the need to use drugs while training for different competitions. He also did not attend any rehab meetings during 2020 because they were not being held due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Once there were no competitions, there was nothing left to “fill that void.”
Vaillant has leaned heavily on his friends and family throughout the recovery process.
“At some points, my friends were worried,” Vaillant said.
“You can hide it for a little bit but you hide it by avoiding people. If I’m avoiding people, if I’m not doing as many stories or my stories are different, my friends know me so at some point, they just knew. I knew I couldn’t hide it anymore.”
Vaillant has a chance to better himself and help others struggling with the same problem moving forward. Using his platform, Vaillant can do a lot of good and there is no doubt that he will make a difference and be an inspiration for many people out there.

Antoine Vaillant Opens Up About His Drug Addiction & Recovery
While bodybuilding is often seen as a structure and focused endeavor, Vaillant showcases the potential other side. When he went pro and became sponsored, he no longer needed a “regular job.” This allowed him to make his own schedule.
While this should and did include a structured training regimen, he also wanted to treat himself for his successes. This took the form of partying and drugs. But since he could party literally any day of the week without a strict job, he fell into the kinds of groups that enabled his addiction further.

Suddenly, his choices no longer felt like choices in his control. He was truly addicted and unable to escape the spiral that it was causing. In our discussion he describes becoming homeless and often getting into fights. He details how addiction can become so strong that you are willing to sacrifice and even destroy other things you love. This includes his family, friends, and the sport of bodybuilding.
Antoine Vaillant when through rehab four times. And while the first three ended in relapse, he was eventually able to get out of the hole that he was stuck in. He rediscovered how bodybuilding could be an activity to keep him focused away from his addictions. He’s used this to not only help recover but to transform himself into a truly talented pro bodybuilder. One that is now qualified for the Olympia 2020.

Antoine Vaillant Looks Back: Was His Men’s Physique Board Shorts Joke Worth It?
a year ago, Antoine Vaillant’s name went viral for a different reason. His joke posing in board shorts immediately caught attention. While overall the joke was received with laughter, some Men’s Physique athletes saw it as an attack on the division.
The Men’s Physique division has had a long history of clashing with the Men’s Open division. There have been various claims throughout the years that athletes in larger divisions insult Men’s Physique athletes in private. Some believe that the Men’s Open division as a whole have no respect for Men’s Physique athlete whatsoever.

There have been many Men’s Open competitors who have denied this. Antoine Vaillant’s joke seemed to pour fuel on the fire. That’s why during our video interview, we followed up with Vaillant over a year later. In. retrospect, does he regret making the joke? Did he go too far?
Antoine Vaillant still sees his board shorts posing routine as nothing but a harmless joke. He goes as far as to admit that he believes the Men’s Physique division is a great addition to the sport as a whole. It provides variety and allows all different types of people to become inspired, change their body, and improve their health.
When asked if the Men’s Open division disrespect Men’s Physique behind closed doors, Antoine Vaillant admitted that occasional jokes were made. But much like his board shorts posing routine, most of the jokes are all in good fun. Vaillant seems to see it as a playful rivalry rather than an all out war.
Wrap Up
Our interview with Antoine Vaillant was over an hour long and discussed many topics beyond what we can cover in this article. Unfortunately, since this interview, Vaillant has suffered a bicep tear leaving his short term future as a pro bodybuilder uncertain. It’s a shame – as our conversation with Vaillant showcased a passionate bodybuilder who was just on the verge of moving up to the next level.
Hopefully his injury doesn’t lead to more permanent long term damage. That much remains to be seen at the moment. If one things is clear after this interview, is that he most certainly has the willpower and resolve to recover from any hurdle the knocks him down.
