IFBB Pro Bodybuilder Shane Post has been shot following a dispute over a parking space.
IFBB Pro Bodybuilder Shane Post was shot on Tuesday April 19th, 2022, according to reports from the Waxahachie Police Department. The shooting happened stemming from a dispute over a parking space. The altercation happened near a set of townhomes after 3 p.m.

Speaking with WFAA, Shane’s wife, Irina Post, stated she was waiting for her husband to get dropped off by a coworker in their gated parking lot. Shane’s coworker pulled into a neighbor’s parking spot to drop Shane off. This triggered the neighbor, Nikki Brown, to walk up and confront Shane Post over the parking spot.

“He came out in a robe, and he had already his gun loaded in his pocket,” Irina told WFAA. The Post family admits to having had two small run-ins with Nikki Brown previously – but nothing that led or presented violence.

Security cameras in the parking lot show Shane Post attempt to slowly walk towards Niki Brown. Suddenly, Brown pulled out his handgun and shot Shane in the torso. Shane is then seen stumbling and limping away from Brown.

The official Waxahachie Police department released the following statement on the incident:
“Officers immediately began life-saving measures until AMR arrived and transported him to Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Waxahachie. The suspect, identified as Nikki Brown of Waxahachie, was still at the location and taken into custody.”

Nikki Brown was arrested and taken to Ellis County jail but has since been released according to posts by Shane Post’s family. Brown also did not show up on the Thursday night jail roster. It was later confirmed that Brown had posted bond out of jail.
Shane Post’s mother commented to WFAA about the incident:
“I can’t process any of it. He was shot over a parking spot.”

Shane Post is an IFBB Pro bodybuilder who’s biggest accomplishments were earning first place at the NPC 2020 USA Championships and the 2017 Mr. Pittsburgh. Post’s pro career was just getting started. Though a massive injury such as this could be a career ending situation – thankfully Post is currently in stable condition at the hospital.
Shane Post, though stable, is still in the ICU at Methodist Dallas and will be held at the hospital for at least a week. He has major injuries in his liver, colon, pancreas, and urethra.

The family has stated that the bullet is still in Shane Post, and the doctors find it currently too dangerous to remove. It is believed that Post will be facing months of rehab after being released from the hospital.

The Post family has set up a GoFundMe page to help support Shane Post’s recovery and rehab. You can get more information and support the Shane family by donating right here.

Generation Iron’s entire staff is wishing Shane Post a smooth recovery and send well wishes to Shane, friends, and family during this difficult time. This story is still developing and will be updated as more information becomes available.

‘A Bum In The Making’: Chris Bumstead Looks Crazy Impressive During Recent Physique Update

‘A Bum In The Making’: Chris Bumstead Looks Crazy Impressive During Recent Physique Update

Chris Bumstead is working for a fourth consecutive Olympia title.
Chris Bumstead continues to make improvements to what already is a championship physique. The reigning three-time Classic Physique Olympia champion recently shared an update on social media where he is looking insanely impressive.
Bumstead looks primed and ready to make a run at his fourth consecutive title. After missing some time in the gym at the beginning of 2022, Bumstead is back and is showing crazy strength and progress.

The Classic Physique competitor contracted COVID-19 and was forced to miss time time in the gym while losing a significant amount of weight. After a few weeks on the shelf, Bumstead returned and is clearly back to his normal self once again.
“A bum in the making.”

Chris Bumstead remains active on social media sharing different workouts and diet plans, including his bulking diet during this phase of prep for the Olympia. Bumstead recently shared a massive chest workout that he uses to gain size. It is no surprise that Bumstead is one of the most popular bodybuilders in the sport given the rise of Classic Physique.

This is a division that some believe might take over bodybuilding. Bumstead won his first Olympia title back in 2019, defeating reigning two-time champion at the time Breon Ansley. Terrence Ruffin has risen to the top as well along with some newcomers. Ruffin has won back-to-back Arnold Classic titles and finished as the runner-up to Bumstead at the Olympia.
Bumstead knows that there is more talent coming and he continues to stay ahead of the game. Urs Kalecinski and Ramon Rocha Queiroz both finished ahead of Ansley during the Arnold Classic, which means there are two more elite competitors to watch out for.
At this point, there is not a competitor that has been able to top Bumstead and he wants to keep it that way. By the looks of his training and physique updates, Bumstead is right where he wants to be at this point in the offseason.

Philip Ricardo Jr: How To Become A Successful Pro Natural Bodybuilder

Philip Ricardo Jr: How To Become A Successful Pro Natural Bodybuilder

[embedded content]

Philip Ricardo Jr. discusses the INBA/PNBA and how bodybuilding lovers who do not want to use drugs can become successful as a pro natural bodybuilder.
Philip Ricardo Jr. has his own promoted INBA/PNBA natural bodybuilding competition coming up this month. The Pro/Am Philip Ricardo Legends International is set for April 30, 2022 and will be the first major event in the INBA/PNBA 2022 season. That’s why we decided to reconnect with Ricardo Jr. and discuss his upcoming show and other trending topic sin both natural and untested bodybuilding. In our latest GI Exclusive interview, Philip Ricardo Jr. goes into detail on how become a successful pro natural bodybuilder.
For many fans in the bodybuilding world, it’s seen that an actual bodybuilding career or success can only happen in the IFBB Pro league. That in order to become a successful bodybuilder, one will have to use PEDs such as steroids to become a bodybuilding superstar. But Philip Ricardo Jr. wants bodybuilding lovers to know that this isn’t true. The leading league in natural bodybuilding, INBA/PNBA, is taking strides to make pro natural bodybuilders super stars in their own right.

That’s why we reconnected with Philip Ricardo Jr. – to discuss the tactics and paths that aspiring natural bodybuilders can take to find success and a career in bodybuilding without having to resort to PEDs. With Ricardo’s very own Pro/Am show around the corner kicking off the INBA/PNBA season – there was no better time to inform those on the fence how they can go from aspiring bodybuilder to natural bodybuilding champion.

The INBA/PNBA Pro/Am Philip Ricardo Legends International is set to be the first major show of the INBA/PNBA season. Not only is this the first pro/am show of 2022 for the league, Philip Ricardo Jr. has personally worked to ensure that some of the biggest names in the INBA/PNBA will be competing. Former Mr. America and Natural Olympia champions will be in attendance to make for a superstar weekend (that Generation Iron will cover and provide a full recap later this month).

But how does one become an INBA/PNBA superstar? Is it possible to make a full time career out of being a pro natural bodybuilder? Philip Ricardo Jr. took some time with us to detail how the INBA/PNBA qualification system works and how the major pro shows handle prize money and promotion.
The INBA/PNBA is not unlike the IFBB/NPC. The INBA league (International Natural Bodybuilding Association) is the amateur division of the league. The PNBA (Professional Natural Bodybuilding Association) is the pro division of the league. Amateurs compete in INBA shows to eventually earn their pro card.
But unlike the IFBB Pro league, once a natural bodybuilder receives a pro card – they can continue to compete in the INBA amateur league as long as they want. This allows for flexibility in the bodybuilder’s career – they can continue to compete until they feel their physique is prepared for the pro level. Yet, while they prepare they can still gain experience (and cash prizes) by competing in the amateur league as they transition into pro.
The Pro/Am Philip Ricardo Legends International is the first pro/am of the season and a perfect showcase for what kind of success a pro natural bodybuilder can really achieve. In addition to this – you can witness the INBA amateur league strive for the next round of pro card qualifications.

Nick Walker Continues Moving Big Weight With 185-Pound Incline Dumbbell Press For 10 Reps

Nick Walker Continues Moving Big Weight With 185-Pound Incline Dumbbell Press For 10 Reps

Nick Walker is showing off incredible strength with recent lift and sharing a physique update.
Nick Walker made it clear that he is going for the 2022 Olympia title and nothing else. During his offseason, Walker continues to put up big weight in the gym and shows why he will show up in better shape this time around. In a recent workout, Walker was able to lock out 185-pound dumbbells on incline press for 10 reps.
Walker has turned into one of the biggest competitors in bodybuilding. The mass monster finished fifth at the Olympia in October and was not satisfied with his performance. Now Walker, who chose not to defend his Arnold Classic title, has put all of his focus into the Olympia prep.

This particular workout featured a combination of chest and biceps. Walker performed incline bench presses with dumbbells along with low cable curls. When hitting incline bench presses, Walker was able to get the weight up.

This is not the first time that Nick Walker has put up big weight in recent weeks. He recently went through a shoulder day where he put up 165-pound dumbbell shoulder presses. Walker has been able to put on some size and does not look like he is going to slow down.

Nick Walker turned in one of the best rookie seasons in recent memory. He was able to earn qualification to the Olympia last year with a victory during the New York Pro. Walker followed this up with a victory during the Arnold Classic before heading to the Olympia two weeks later.
After his fifth-place finish, Walker expressed how he felt like it was a loss rather than a strong performance in his first Olympia. Walker made sure that he would place all of his attention into the 2022 show and not compete during the season.
This recent training session proves that Nick Walker has the strength and determination to get where he wants to be. It will be interesting to see how he will stack up this time around against the likes of Big Ramy and Brandon Curry, who won the Arnold Classic this year without Walker in the lineup.
The Olympia is set for December and will return to Las Vegas. This will be the site for the biggest competition of the year in bodybuilding with the elite talent in all of the sport.

Breon Ansley Shares Massive Leg Workout, Plans To Compete At 2022 Tampa Pro

Breon Ansley Shares Massive Leg Workout, Plans To Compete At 2022 Tampa Pro

Breon Ansley shared a workout that he is using ahead of the 2022 Tampa Pro.
Breon Ansley has been one of the top competitors in Classic Physique for years now and continues to compete at a high level. The former Olympia champ recently went thought a massive leg day and shared his plan to compete at the 2022 Tampa Pro.
Ansley won back-to-back Olympia titles in 2017 and 2018. The next year, he was defeated by Chris Bumstead and this is when he began his reign. In October, Ansley finished third at the Olympia, behind both Bumstead and Terrence Ruffin. Classic Physique is continuing to improve and that was on full display during the 2022 Arnold Classic.

In Columbus, Urs Kalecinski and Ramon Rocha Queiroz burst onto the scene even further. Ruffin won his second consecutive Arnold Classic but it was Queiroz who finished as the runner-up while Kalecinski finished third. Ansley was unhappy with his finish during this show and will undoubtedly work to improve his physique even further.
Breon Ansley Leg Day Routine
During a YouTube video Ansley shared, he showed off a mass-building leg workout but also revealed his plan to compete at the Tampa Pro this year. This is something that he did not share until this video was made.
“We are 16 weeks out from the Tampa. I was never really putting the show out there but you heard it here first, here now. You guys are definitely worthy of knowing the information first. My family. So that’s what it’s going to be guys. The Tampa Pro, 16-weeks out, I’m 197 lbs right now so I’m ahead of the game. I’m going to be at 180 at the weight cap in about another 10 weeks. So I want to be right at the weight cap 6 or 7 weeks out.”

Breon Ansley’s preparation continued in the gym with a massive leg workout featuring a “new master plan.” Ansley will focus on high-volume during this workout to remain leaner for a longer period of time.

Leg Extensions: 2 sets of 6, 1 set of 10
Lying Hamstring Curl: 1 set of 6, 1 set of 7, 1 set of 8
Smith Machine Squats: 1 set of 5, 1 set of 9, 1 set of 5
Bodyweight Bulgarian Split Squats: 1 set of 9, 1 set of 11, 1 set of 15
Sissy Squat Machine: 1 set of 5
Barbell Walking Lunges
Standing Calf Machine: 1 set of 5, 1 set of 8
Sitting Calf Machine: 1 set of 5

“This new master plan that we’re putting together this time, that’s going to be the difference. So if I’m leaner over a longer period of time, you guys know usually I’m at 180 like the last two days before weigh ins or the last day before weigh in.”
Breon Ansley has decided to step on stage prior to the Olympia to see the progress he has made. This is a measuring stick to how he will look come December. After the Arnold Classic, it is clear that Ansley decided to shake things up and will feature a new plan.

Larry Wheels Shares Update On Heart Health After ‘Abusing PEDs For 10 Years Straight’

Larry Wheels Shares Update On Heart Health After ‘Abusing PEDs For 10 Years Straight’

Larry Wheels recently shared his results from a trip to the doctor checking his major organs.
Larry Wheels is one of the most popular powerlifting personalities there is now. He has built an enormous following on social media with fans wanting to see his feats of strength including big weight for high reps. Recently, Wheels admitted to being concerned about his use of PEDs and shared an update on his health following a trip to the doctors.
At 27 years old, Wheels admitted that he has been using PEDs for 10 years now. In light of the recent string of deaths in bodybuilding, Wheels decided to get checked out to make sure his major organs were in good health. Cedric McMillan recently passed away. This was a shock coming after the devastating losses of Shawn Rhoden and George Peterson last year.

Wheels shared a video to YouTube to detail his own health but to also speak to other PED users out there.
“With recent events in the fitness industry – bodybuildersdropping dead to the heart attacks – it has left many of us concerned with our health. I’m talking about those of us who abuse PEDs and I have been abusing them for ten years straight now,” Larry Wheels said.
Since he was 17 years old, Larry Wheels had been using steroids to build the elite physique and strength that he has today. Wheels decided to finally get checked out after putting it off for quite some time.

At the doctors, Wheels went though an Electrocardiogram on a treadmill and Echocardiogram test. These are tests to identify different abnormalities such as irregular heartbeats, high heart rates, or blockages in arteries. Much to his delight, all tests on Wheels came back normal for his age.
“All of that checked out okay. I am shocked. I can’t believe myself after ten years of, well I guess not abusing as much as I thought I was, PEDs, my heart is, from what the doctor said, a perfectly normal healthy heart for a young man of my age.”
The doctors did reveal to Larry Wheels that his cardiac muscles were thicker than the average individual but this could be from his level of intense activity. An athlete’s heart goes through physiological changes during this activity.
Wheels continued in the video to speak on the deaths in bodybuilding and explained that this is the reason he went to the doctors. He ended his discussion with a call to action to other PED users and those individuals in bodybuilding and strength sports.
“This is a message for all those out there who might be using PEDs and who decided not to get checked up. You may not be as lucky as me. The problem is that if you wait too long and you have the symptoms, you have the pain in your chest or you have irregular heart rate then maybe too late.”

WATCH: Mike Tyson Repeatedly Punches Unruly Passenger In The Face On Plane

WATCH: Mike Tyson Repeatedly Punches Unruly Passenger In The Face On Plane

Mike Tyson allegedly got fed up with an intoxicated passenger behind him during their flight.
Mike Tyson is known for having one of the strongest right hands in boxing history. If there is one thing that you do not want, it is to catch one as a regular person. That was the fate of an unruly passenger who was sitting behind Tyson on a flight. A video, reported by TMZ, shows Tyson repeatedly striking the man in the face.
Tyson was on board of a flight going from San Francisco to Florida on Wednesday night. The incident occurred around 10:30 P.M. after the man apparently would not leave Tyson alone. Other passengers claim that the former champion was very open to those wanting pictures and to have a conversation. The man allegedly kept provoking Tyson even after being told to stop.

Mike Tyson was seen in the video throwing multiple punches at the man, whose face was left bloodied with cuts. The man was given medical attention and later went to the police. There has been no comment made from the police. Also, JetBlue and Tyson’s camp have remained quiet on the incident.
This has been an interesting week for Mike Tyson, who was recently in the news after his appearance with Joe Rogan. After getting high with the host, Tyson made a comment about having wealthy people kidnap the homeless and hunt them on their estates.
“This is what happens. They take these homeless people off the streets. Put them in there, take them to one of those special hospitals. Then, they take them from the hospital, all drugged up, take them to these large estates, property — ‘let’s hunt’ – run!”

Tyson has also been in talks of getting back in the ring to take on one of the Paul Brothers, but that seems very unlikely given his stance on the celebrity boxing scene. Tyson has since created a line of edibles and believes that there is more coming on that end.
To this point, there has been no comments made on the incident involving Mike Tyson and this man on the airplane. When the story comes out, there will be updates provided.

Joey Swoll Talks The Effectiveness Of Weed & Bodybuilding

Joey Swoll Talks The Effectiveness Of Weed & Bodybuilding

Joey Swoll talks CBD, marijuana, and how it can supplement bodybuilding.
Joey Swoll’s partnership with the CBD company Ignite started with a friendship between himself and Dan Bilzerian. Dan is a millionaire playboy of sorts in the bodybuilding world, using social media to showcase his luxurious lifestyle. With the rapid change in legality for marijuana and CBD, we decided to talk with Joey about the future of bodybuilding with the potential legalization of marijuana products. In our latest GI Exclusive, Joey Swoll discusses the reality of weed and bodybuilding; how it can to help supplement training; and how popular it is in the bodybuilding community.

A Major Shift
The United States is a very different country today when it comes to marijuana. What was once seen as a dangerous drug is now legal in various states. However slowly, it seems that weed will one day be legal on a federal level in the United States future.

Of course, just because marijuana is still illegal on a federal level doesn’t mean that many people aren’t already partaking in the drug. What has changed is the use of CBD. It’s now legal to sell in many states for a number of uses. The product helps lower anxiety and reduce muscle soreness.
In our latest GI Exclusive interview segment with Joey Swoll – we breakdown his involvement with Dan Bilzarian’s Ignite brand. He also discusses the reality of weed use in bodybuilding. How often is it used? And what kind of purpose to it serve to help enhance the quality of training, pre-workout, and post-workout?

The truth is that many bodybuilders utilize marijuana as a supplement to help with a workout. Whether it be to better focus or feel better through the pain of training – it’s somewhat commonplace in the bodybuilding world.
You can watch Joey Swoll’s full assessment of weed and bodybuilding in our latest GI Exclusive interview segment above.

Seth Feroce Opens Up About Dangers Of Steroids: ‘They F***ing Will Kill you’

Seth Feroce Opens Up About Dangers Of Steroids: ‘They F***ing Will Kill you’

Seth Feroce recently discussed the dangers of steroid usage in bodybuilding.
The amount of deaths in the world of bodybuilding keeps increasing and many athletes have spoken out about this issue. Seth Feroce became the latest as he went on a “truck rant” that he shared to his YouTube page about the dangers of steroids in bodybuilding.
Feroce burst onto the scene in the early 2000s as an IFBB Pro bodybuilder. He has not competed in close to a decade but remains an influential figure in the sport because of his overall knowledge and passion for fitness. He has been a critic of steroids for years now and recently backed up his notion during an intense rant.

Just a week ago, Cedric McMillan passed away at 44 years old. This is an ongoing problem in the sport as bodybuilding is losing some great competitors and people. Shawn Rhoden and George Peterson passed away last year due to heart issues as well.
““I knew this day would come whenever I had to make this f***ing video. It seems that nobody is saying it and everybody wants to hear somebody say it. And everybody is trying to think of a way to say it without sounding like a complete f***ing prick but about bodybuilding and motherf***s dying. So it seems I’m going to be the motherf***r to say it. Steroids will kill you. You get it. They f***ing will kill you. They will kill you. That’s it.”
The topic of steroids comes up often in bodybuilding and many wonder why athletes continue to take these supplements despite knowing they are dangerous.

READ MORE: Bodybuilders Are Dying: An Investigation Into Modern Bodybuilding, Health, & PED Use
According to Seth Feroce, who has been around the sport as a competitor and coach, bodybuilding is addictive and the rush of the action makes competitors feel like they are super human.
“We are addicted to this sport. We love it. It’s an attraction that we cannot control. There is nothing like training back on a 1000 migs of test, 400 migs of tren, and two f***ing Anidrol. You ain’t touching that sh**. You’re a f***ing animal. Yes you are but at some point you have to stop doing that. Do you know why you have to stop doing that? Because it will f***ing kill you and we all know it.”
Seth Feroce continues by explaining that bodybuilding does not need to be saved. Younger athletes want to win so bad that they are willing to do whatever it takes. As competitors get older, priorities can change, especially when families are in the picture. Also, as a bodybuilder gets older, they still have to deal with decisions made at a younger age.
Feroce explains how he is still dealing with some problems despite taking on a healthier lifestyle recently.
“You have children, you start to grow up, you start to realize maybe I should stop doing this sh**. Fortunately for me, it happened when it did when I tore my tricep I thought the world was over. I thought everything was going to come crumbling down. No. It was actually a blessing in disguise because I got my sh** together and now I’m in the best shape of my life.
That doesn’t erase all the shit I’ve done in my life. That doesn’t just erase all the years, the ten, almost twenty years I blasted f***ing gear. I’m like oh yeah I’m fine, I’m not going to have a heart attack. No bit** my days are numbered. They’re numbered! I’m going to f***ing die from this.”
Seth Feroce has been one of the biggest critics of steroids and is not afraid to speak his mind regarding the issue. At this point, he does not believe there is any saving bodybuilding. The risks are out there and competitors continue to use the products. Feroce is simply making sure that bodybuilders understand what they are putting their bodies through.
