76-YO Sylvester Stallone Launches Eddie Hall Over Bar in ‘Expendables 4’ Trailer

American filmmaking icon Sylvester Stallone is easily one of the most prolific action stars with an influence that spans generations. Despite being in his later years, he continues to deliver exciting films in the same vein. In the first trailer for the upcoming movie Expendables 4, Stallone launched former World’s Strongest Man Eddie Hall over a bar.
Sylvester Stallone first showed his caliber in the entertainment world in the 1970s. He gained attention for his insanely shredded physique as well as refined writing and acting abilities with a starring role in the first installment of the massively popular Rocky film franchise. He portrayed a boxer on the path to winning the world championship against all odds, much like his inspirational real-life journey to finding worldwide acclaim from humble beginnings.
Stallone’s impact on the sporting world is undeniable. Legendary Strongman Eddie Hall paid tribute to Stallone while training in boxing in preparation for his bout with fellow strongman Hafthor Bjornsson in Jun. 2020.
In Mar. 2021, Stallone reflected on his time playing Rocky with a throwback photo of his leanest look ever. He revealed he got down to a crazy 2.8% body fat to get ready for the final fight scene of Rocky III (1982).
Although Stallone doesn’t have the same physique anymore, he has not lost his passion for fitness and continues to train regularly. He left the fans stunned with a workout update showing off his gigantic arm muscle development in Jun. 2021. Then, he reinvoked the spirit of Rocky to throw fast hands in a heavy bag workout.
While Rocky may be his most well-known role, Stallone also led several other blockbuster film series such as Rambo. In 2010, he formed a star-studded team of top talent across the film industry and combat sports to launch The Expendables franchise, featuring the likes of renowned action star Jason Statham, martial artist Jet Li, Scott Adkins, UFC legend Randy Couture, and more.

Sylvester Stallone announced Hall would be added to the cast for the fourth Expendables film in an antagonistic role in Oct. 2021. Ever since the announcement, fans have been excited to check out how the enormous strength athlete would look in the movie.
Stallone took a trip down memory lane and issued a motivational message on persevering through the challenges in pursuit of your dreams in Apr. 2022. Then, he inspired fans with another message boasting his enormous biceps a few months later.

In the trailer for Expendables 4, Sylvester Stallone threw Eddie Hall over the bar in an action-packed scene that lasted about half a second in the promo.

Sylvester Stallone cautioned fitness enthusiasts against working out too hard two months ago. He referenced Bruce Lee in his warning while educating his fans on the long-term effects of strenuous movements.
Meanwhile, Eddie Hall is gearing up to make a splash in bodybuilding after taking inspiration from former two-time Mr. Olympia Mamdouh ‘Big Ramy’ Elssbiay and reigning four-time Classic Physique Olympia winner Chris Bumstead.

Sylvester Stallone Cautions Against Working Out ‘Too Hard’ with Bruce Lee Reference: ‘Will Kill You’

Sylvester Stallone Cautions Against Working Out ‘Too Hard’ with Bruce Lee Reference: ‘Will Kill You’

Legendary filmmaker Sylvester Stallone boasted one of the best builds of any actor in Hollywood when he donned the role of boxer Rocky Balboa in the Rocky film franchise. His passion for fitness carried into his later years despite the health challenges. In a recent post made on Instagram, Stallone cautioned others against strenuous movements and working out too hard with a reference to martial arts icon Bruce Lee.
Sylvester Stallone started his career as an actor with side roles in films. It wasn’t until 1976 that he got to play the lead role in the first film of the cult classic Rocky series, which he also wrote the screenplay for. He pulled off an impressive body transformation to bring the boxing star to life. His portrayal received widespread acclaim and boosted his celebrity to new heights.
Besides the sports film franchise, Stallone established himself as one of the premier action heroes of the 1970s and 80s. He delivered several blockbuster projects, including the First Blood and other Rambo films. He developed a competitive rivalry with bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger based on the similarities between the two action stars. In Mar. 2020, Schwarzenegger opened up on the evolution of his relationship with Stallone over the years as the two buried the hatchet and became friends.
Stallone took a trip down memory lane recalling his leanest look on the silver screen of all time in Mar. 2021. Although he presented a ripped package across the board, he revealed he weighed 166 pounds at under 3 percent body fat as his peak for Rocky III.

In Jun. 2021, Sly came under fire after showing off his insane grip and shoulder strength in a clip online. He lifted 45-lb plates in each hand while getting up to his feet from the knees. However, there was speculation about whether he used fake weights to pull off the stunt. Fitness influencer Scott Herman was convinced Stallone used fake weights considering his over-the-top performance and theorized it was a publicity stunt.
The 76-year-old has kept a high level of personal fitness and maintains an impressive physique that even the younger gym-goers would envy. He showed off his gigantic arm muscle development in a post-workout snap in 2021. He also continues to practice his boxing abilities and sent his fans into a frenzy with a heavy bag training session update.
Sylvester Stallone references Bruce Lee in his warning against working out too hard
In a recent Instagram post, Sylvester Stallone issued a warning to his fans against pushing themselves too hard in the training room with a reference to Bruce Lee.
Lee is widely credited for bringing martial arts to the forefront and pioneering mixed martial arts with his fighting style called Jeet Kune Do. He was renowned for his superhero-like speed and athletic abilities.
Stallone combined a photo of Lee and himself performing the dragon flag exercise. He believes the movement contributed to his back pain.
“No wonder my back hurts.! When you WORKOUT remember EVERY exercise has long range consequences. Knees, elbows, shoulders, ankles, wrists, neck if you push too hard, these strenuous movements will come back to haunt you. That’s why I’ve always said getting in really great shape Will kill you!

Sylvester Stallone shared an inspiring message on never giving up on your dreams last April. He reflected on his decorated career by revisiting the place where his ambitions began to grow. Then, he delivered another motivational piece on staying strong despite the setbacks and obstacles along the way.
His latest offering might come as an unexpected one but it could help add clarity for those in a similar situation.

The Mike O’Hearn Show: Gunnar Peterson On Training Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, & Pro Athletes

The Mike O’Hearn Show: Gunnar Peterson On Training Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, & Pro Athletes

Mike O’Hearn and iconic trainer Gunnar Peterson dive deep into training history, techniques, and the secret to transforming into a fit life like Sylvester Stallone.
Gunnar Peterson is an iconic personal trainer best known for his work with celebrities and professional athletes. He’s been known to train Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and was the trainer for The Lakers.  There is a reason why so many high profile individuals seek out Peterson. He has truly valuable insight into strength training and fitness. That’s why in this week’s episode of Generation Iron’s and Barbend‘s The Mike O’Hearn Show, Gunnar Thompson shares stories of training Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, and how anyone, regardless of money or genetic talent, can transform via fitness.
A gym membership, fancy gym equipment, and a personal trainer are all valuable resources you can invest into for optimizing your fitness. There’s no doubt about that. But it’s not necessary to succeed in the fitness world. In fact, the greatest thing about strength and fitness is that it can be done by all walks of life – at zero cost. It’s clear that Gunnar Peterson is a high profile celebrity and pro athlete trainer. But he wants the general public to understand that just because you can’t afford a trainer like him, doesn’t mean you can’t live and look like Sylvester Stallone.
And that’s what this entire episode’s conversation is all about. Mike O’Hearn sits down with Gunnar Peterson to discuss the true secrets behind living a fit life. What can the general public learn from the insights of Peterson? And what can they take with them from this conversation to transform their life? Let’s jump into it.
The Human Body Is Very Forgiving: It’s Never Too Late To Start Being Strong And Fit
One inspiring conversation topic that Gunnar Peterson touches upon with Mike O’Hearn – is on the forgiving nature of the human body. Yes, the body can be very fragile and fall victim to injury or illness. But on the other hand, it’s also very resilient and forgiving. A fit lifestyle can start at twenty, thirty, or even in your forties and fifties. You can’t turn back time and stop the damage you may have done from an unhealthy lifestyle. But no matter what you’ve done, you can always start to become fit in the present.
“I was a fat kid,” Gunnar Peterson states during our interview conversation. He continues:
“When I learned about this and I saw, ‘Wait if I do that and then I do that and I tacked on this and I didn’t need that.’ I start looking different. Which means I start feeling different. Which means I start carrying myself differently. Which means I start seeing myself differently. People see me differently. I want to share that.”
Gunnar Peterson experienced the limitless transformative powers of fitness directly. And he wanted to share it with the world. To him, the biggest travesty is the idea that fitness is for a select elite few group of people. That you need to be athletically gifted to be good at fitness.
That’s not true – and Peterson wants the world to understand just how forgiving and flexible the human body can be no matter what point in your life you start. Peterson explains:
“It’s never insurmountable… the body is so forgiving. You can be a meth head, undernourished, not sleeping and start making some changes and you come out of that and you go, ‘I can turn into a physically fit, healthy, contributing member of society…’ to me that’s super powerful.”
Sylvester Stallone’s Fitness Secret… And It’s Not His Money
When people look at action star celebrities like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, and The Rock – they may think that their physiques are only possible due to the untold riches they’ve accrued from their films. The general excuse is that someone like Stallone can still have abs over 50 because he has the money to invest in a trainer like Gunnar Thompson.
While we will not pretend that money doesn’t afford more time, flexibility, and resources – it’s also unfair to assume money is the only way to look like Stallone well past his 50s and into his 70s.
In fact, Gunnar Peterson explains that Stallone’s success might be directly related to a work ethic he had from the start. This includes his dedication to fitness. So what’s the secret? How can a person who finds fitness a chore learn to be motivated and dedicated like Sylvester Stallone?
Gunnar Peterson explains that it comes down to never giving up, even in the face of multiple failures. Easier said than done right? Well, one secret Peterson realized about himself and in successful action celebs like Stallone was this – always make time for fitness even in the face of failure.
What does Peterson mean by this? Here’s an example. If life throws a curveball at you and takes away your free hour usually dedicated to a workout. Don’t just throw that entire day’s workout away. First try to find another time to squeeze in your planned training. If that doesn’t work – still attempt any sort of workout. Even if it’s just for a spare 15 minutes.
This may not be your planned hour workout. And no – training for 15 minutes will not majorly improve your strength or fitness levels. However, it does continue to train your mindset. If you squeeze 15 minutes here and 30 minutes there because life has become too hectic, you are still building a second-hand subconscious focus on fitness and bettering yourself.
That’s the hardest part. And if you can eventually make working out second nature to every single week of your life – then the mental battle becomes easier. Then the scheduling a full workout becomes less stressful. Suddenly, everything feels easier and you are more motivated to prioritize fitness in your life.
“I was with him on Rocky Balboa, the sixth installment of the original Rocky series,” Gunnar Peterson states. He goes on:
“It was more like, when can we get the workout in? He’s never going to miss it. And it might be the morning, it might be before shooting, maybe he’s not there for the first couple shots, maybe he’s there late. And it’s just going to be wherever he is, let’s just get it, let’s get this done.”
Sylvester Stallone was directing, acting, and producing in Rocky Balboa. So time to train was very limited. But it was also important. Not only because he values fitness in his personal life but because his role in the film required a boxer’s physique.
So he would squeeze in a workout, no matter how long or short, whenever he had a window of opportunity. Peterson explains:
“So I’m in my gym and I get a text… from his right hand guy who would say, ‘Sly is on his way to you.’ And always knew there was a break in his day and he would drive from downtown, knock out a workout, and then go back and finish shooting.”
Wrap Up
There is rarely a life circumstance or personal deficiency that prevents an individual from being fit. We might not all be able to look like The Rock but we can still dedicate ourselves to fitness like The Rock. It’s never too late, you’re never too old, your genetics are never too flawed. The hardest part is to train your subconscious to always find room for fitness. Once you do that – the hard part is over and the real transformation begins.
Gunnar Peterson goes into far more detail about his training philosophy, workout tips and insights, as well as more stories of training celebrities and pro athletes. You can check it all out in our full interview on The Mike O’Hearn Show above. Make sure to watch new episodes every Friday. Eddie Hall Lands Role In Sylvester Stallone’s “The Expendables 4”

Eddie Hall Lands Role In Sylvester Stallone’s “The Expendables 4”

Strongman Eddie Hall will make an appearance on the big screen in a Sylvester Stallone movie.
It has been quite the year for Eddie Hall to this point and it is only going to get busier from here. Along with rehabbing from an injury and planning a return to the boxing ring, Hall will also appear on screen in Sylvester Stallone’s film The Expendables 4.
Hall will appear in this movie as one of the villains. He was offered the part back in 2019 from Stallone himself when the two were in the UK. Hall will not be the only recognizable name in this film. The list includes Megan Fox, 50 Cent, Iko Uwais, Tony Jaa, and Andy Garcia.

The Expendables 4 began officially filming back in September. Nearly two months later, Stallone announced that his scenes were complete. This will be Stallone’s final appearance in the series. His character, Barney Ross, will no longer appear after the fourth film. This leaves Jason Staham’s Lee Christmas character in line to take over as the main character.
It has been a busy year for Eddie Hall because of his path to the boxing ring being halted by injury. Hall was prepared to take on Hafthor Bjornsson in the ring but was forced to postpone after suffering a torn bicep. Hall continued to rehab his injury with an eye on boxing and performed exercises to strengthen the right muscles. Hall announced that his bicep is now fully attached and he wants to take on Bjornsson once again. This might be a match for charity if Bjornsson accepts a recent offer.

In a way, Hall and Sylvester Stallone can be attached through boxing. Hall has ventured into the sport while Stallone was a huge part of promoting the sport through the Rocky series. Recently, the two got together to congratulate Tyson Fury after his victory against Tyron Woodley.
“Massive congrats to @gypsyking101From myself and @officialslystallone on your fight win ? you have the done the country proud and the people of the world are in awe of your sportsmanship and dedication to boxing ?The awareness you bring to mental health whilst conquering life is astounding also, so thank you from myself and millions of others around the world for being such a great role model.Keep being the peoples champion Tyson and can’t wait for what’s next for you ? ?@millenniummedia@lionsgate#Expendables4Big LoveTeam Beast”

Eddie Hall will have a chance to portray a villainous character in this movie. This will be a new venture for a strongman who has been moving into different avenues recently. This will be an exciting movie with plenty of star power next to Sylvester Stallone as he wraps up his appearances in The Expendables series.

Gunter Schlierkamp Debates: Sylvester Stallone Movies Vs Arnold Schwarzenegger Movies

Gunter Schlierkamp Debates: Sylvester Stallone Movies Vs Arnold Schwarzenegger Movies

[embedded content]
Which muscle action star has better movies: Sylvester Stallone or Arnold Schwarzenegger? Gunter Schlierkamp answers.
There was a golden era of muscle-bound action movies in the 80s. Two of the biggest stars from that era were Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone. Both brought powerful physiques to the mainstream via blockbuster films. But of these two shredded actors – who had the best movies? We asked that very question to Gunter Schlierkamp. In our latest GI Exclusive, Gunter Schlierkamp makes his pick between Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger movies.
While majority of our interview segments deal directly with bodybuilding and strength sprots trends – we sometimes like to throw a few curveball fun questions into the mix. That’s why during our conversation with Gunter Schlierkamp we asked him to pick his favorite action star – Sylvester Stallone or Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Both of these actors were significant in bringing chiseled muscle onto the mainstream blockbuster circuit. Schwarzenegger was, of course, a pro bodybuilder himself. While Stallone didn’t match his size – he brought an unprecedented amount of muscle to the screen compared to majority of Hollywood actors. It was a golden era of sorts for muscle in Hollywood.

So who does Gunter Schlierkamp prefer more? He was torn – he didn’t want to directly choose one over the other. Instead, he focused on the things that made each actor different and why he liked those qualities.
For Sylvester Stallone, Schlierkamp felt that his films brought more of a message behind the stories. Films like Rocky and First Blood had something to say beyond being fun action films. On the other hand, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s films focused more on flash and bang. The cartoonish nature of his action films are entertaining in their own right.
Gunter Schlierkamp also makes mention of Schwarzenegger’s comedic side. With films like True Lies, Jingle All The Way, and Kindergarten Cop – Schwarzenegger showcased that he had comedic chops to match his action muscle. It’s a big part of what allowed him to stay relevant in Hollywood. While he was not a Shakespearean level actor – he had true versatility in his roles.
Ultimately, Gunter Schlierkamp enjoys the work of both actors equally. He finds a different thing to enjoy about each muscle-bound actor’s films. Which films do you prefer? You can watch Schlierkamp go into full detail by watching our latest GI Exclusive interview segment above.

Sylvester Stallone Shows Off Massive Arms at 74 Years Old

Sylvester Stallone Shows Off Massive Arms at 74 Years Old

Age is just a number for Sylvester Stallone and he is proving that by showing off his huge arms on Instagram.
Is Sylvester Stallone using fake weights? Have they been legitimate? One thing we do know is that whatever he has been doing — it seems to be working. In his latest Instagram post, Sylvester Stallone shows off the results of his hard work with a photo of his massive arms.
Over the last month, there have been discussions and rumors going around that Stallone might be training with fake weights. These speculations came to light thanks to an Instagram video that was posted back on June 7.

Stallone was videotaped lifting himself up from the ground while holding two 45lb plates. There is belief that this video was made for publicity. If that is the case, then it was done successfully since the video has been viewed 4.9 million times. Since then, the Hollywood star has taken to the social media site to show off some progress to his 13.3 million followers.
Most recently, the 74-year-old Stallone showed off his massive arms after a gym session that he did not want to participate in.

“Went to damn the gym today when I didn’t want to. But, Doing things when you do NOT want to , I found an extremely important key to success. Plus, I have to get ready to start doing some old school ACTION!”

For nearly 50 years now, Stallone has been an inspiration to those wanting to improve their lifestyle and build. He is continuing to do so by preaching keys to success, especially when it comes to the gym.
Stallone has been known for his impressive physique. He burst onto the scene in 1976 after the release of “Rocky.” Stallone went onto star in five movies within the series. In the midst of the craze surrounding Stallone as Rocky Balboa, he continue to show off his carved exterior during “First Blood” as John Rambo.
Stallone is up there with the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lou Ferrigno when thinking of chiseled actors known for their build. Today, Stallone still features that rock-hard upper body and could be showing it off on the big screen soon enough.
In his Instagram post, Stallone mentions beginning to prepare for “some old school action.” It is unknown what he means by this but Stallone is part of three movies that are being released soon. We know that one is a voice role in the new “Suicide Squad.” Rumor has it that Rocky Balboa could be making a return, this time as a mentor. Nothing has been confirmed just yet.
Fake weight or no fake weights, there is no doubt that Stallone still hits the gym extremely hard. Stallone has shown that on Instagram and is on his way back to show it in movie theatres all around the world.

Did Sylvester Stallone Just Get Caught Using Fake Weights?

Did Sylvester Stallone Just Get Caught Using Fake Weights?

Is Sylvester Stallone using fake weights?
Sylvester Stallone may have just been caught using fake weights. The popular actor posted a video on his Instagram account showing himself trying to lift two 45lb plates while standing up. The video seemed a bit suspect and many on the internet are ripping it apart.

Sylvester Stallone has always been a source of inspiration for others. His roles portraying Rocky Balboa and John Rambo made him famous. Both were iconic from a character stand point but also because of Stallone’s physique. He along with Jean Claude Van Damme and Arnold Schwarzenegger popularized the 80s and 90s action hero who was cut out of granite. It’s one of the reasons Stallone is still popular today.
The 74 year old actor still keeps himself in tremendous shape. That said, there is a certain threshold that he can no longer meet. Perhaps that’s exactly the reason why so many people aren’t buying his latest stunt on social media.
In his latest post, Sylvester Stallone attempts to lift two 45lb plates, gripping them with his fingertips. The plates look suspect and nearly identical to fake weights sold by FakeWeights.com. With that said, it’s unclear if Stallone was being serious or just meant to post the video in good fun. Take a look below and judge for yourself.

Good “heavy” morning! Punching hard till the final bell…

There’s no doubt that Sylvester Stallone has trained hard in the past. In order to have the kind of physique he possesses at 74 years old takes hard work and dedication. With that said, clearly something is up with this video.
Do you think Sylvester Stallone was lifting fake weights?
