Panhandle Showdown 2013 Contest Prep Log

Hey guys. Although I have been following this site since April, I have never started a thread of my own. I have commented on just a few things. I have certainly enjoyed reading about all of the knowledge that you guys have about so many topics. With that being said, I have decided to start a thread on my contest prep for the upcoming Panhandle Showdown. This is my first show and I have Nuknuk as my trainer and prep coach. He has helped me for the last six months with my offseason and I feel I have made some great gains under him. For those that do not know this guy personally, he is the real deal! So I am 19 weeks out right now and have my contest prep cycle on the way. I will officially start my diet on December 15th at exactly 18 weeks out. Here is what Nuknuk has set for me thus far:

Injectables
Sustanon 350mg
Tren Enanthate 200mg

Orals
DNP 100mg

Prohormone
superdmz

This is what we are starting with. I will be taking the injectables at 2 CC's a week each. The DNP will be 1-3 pills a day. We will alternate that as he sees fit. I actually started the superdmz today and will be taking 2 pills a day of that. I started my cardio last friday. Will be doing 40 minutes 5 days a week. I will be keeping up with this log as a way to keep track of things for myself and if anyone else wants to follow. I just know that I very much have enjoyed following some of the prep logs that have been on this forum. Maybe if there are any other guys who are thinking about doing their first show, this can maybe be a motivation for them to take that step to make that start. As I get the diet from Nuknuk and as he changes things, I will be posting it here.
 
Good for you, bsm. Nuk is top caliber and very knowledgable. Best of luck and sure you will ave a terrific contest experience.
 
Good post. If anybody is wondering why the DNP now, its so I can go ahead and knock off some fat now, without having to worry about rushing him to get conditioned come show time. Plus he will be able to handle it better now, than real close to the show. Bsm is a big thick guy. If he comes in even 80-90% on, he will drop some jaws in the novice class.

Thanks for posting Nuknuk. With your help I am definitely hoping to have my presence known. That's the plan anyways.
 
Did a back workout this evening. Right now I am hitting back and hamstrings twice a week. As I stated earlier I started taking the superdmz today. Nothing noticeable yet. My strength was about the same as usual. I weighed in at 244 on the scale first thing this morning. Not sure how accurate my scale is, but at least I can have something to judge by. Nuk wants me to be around 240 when we start the diet on the 15th, so I will keep an eye out on how my body responds to the DMZ. Hopefully I won't hold too much water weight. The cardio should help.
 
Weighed in at 243 on my scale at home first thing this morning. Again not sure how exact that is but at least it seems I am slowly dropping weight. Day 2 on the superdmz. Wanting to see how my weight is affected by this. Have heard a lot of guys are getting some good weight gain on this. My vascularity I am noticing is improving as I get leaner. Usually by end of the day it is really good. Will be training arms today so I look forward to seeing if I notice any effects.

Everything looks solid brutha and as you know, your in good hands. Will you be posting any pictures we can follow?
 
Did an arm workout today. Noticed my biceps were extremely pumped after only a couple sets. Strength was the same. Vascularity was pretty good. These effects could be from the superdmz or just a mental thing. Only time will tell. Weighed 250 after 4 meals today. Will be taking some pics tonight and I will get them posted in the morning.
 
Ok I weighed in at 244.4 this morning. Back up a pound from yesterday morning but I have been staying right in that area. I've quads and hamstrings today. I will hit hamstrings first and then lead into quads. I have noticed that gives my body the best chance at really trying to bring my hamstrings up to my quads. Will see if I can do a cardio session afterwards. If it is too much for my legs I will move that session to Saturday. I did take a few pics last night and will get those posted on my laptop later today. Day 3 on the superdmz. Will see how I feel after legs.
 
I got some great pumps in my legs today. I hit leg press and squats until I was laying on the floor lol. You get a lot of looks when you are at that point in my gym. My gym is a family fitness center so I am one of the few bodybuilders in there. I hate legs while I am hitting it but the feeling I get after a good leg workout I have always enjoyed. I was going to post those pics tonight but stupid me left my laptop at my parents house today so I will have to do that tomorrow since I can't from my phone.

Ok guys I weighed in at 244.2 first thing this morning. Feel like I am sitting at that weight right now. Hopefully the cardio will help me get to 240 by the 15th. Will be doing my shoulders today. I absolutely love this workout. I guess it is my favorite body part. Day 4 on the superdmz so we will see how this goes. Vascularity continues to be very good especially at the end of the day for some reason. Well here are pics as promised. I took these two nights ago. These are my first pics of the prep and I wasn't too disappointed. It could be worse for the start. My offseason diet has helped me stay somewhat lean. I have no experience with the posing or anything. I just did a couple to see what I looked like. So here you go Presser.....

You have a great frame brutha, and you can get super shredded in 18 weeks from what I can tell as to where your at now! Your in good shape already, so im sure you have plenty of time to dial it in and I think you look really good brutha!
 
looking better already. Gotta work on that posing, but that will come down the road. Your on the right track.
