In an attempt to spare you the boredom here is my situation and my question(s)...
I am 34, 6'2", recently 225 at about 14%bf. I grew up skinny so maintaining size has always been important to me and I was not real concerned with getting ultra lean, as I was never fat. I have thrown on a decent amount of size naturally lifting over the past 20 years or so.
Traditionally, my workouts have always consitsted of HEAVY, HEAVY weights with longer rest intervals between sets. Recently I got talked into moving to a higher rep, shorter rest, HIIT type workout with a ultra clean eating program for 12 weeks. I am now about 205lbs at 8%bf+/-. I am lean but feel way smaller and that freaks me out. Not really what I am after.
Lately I had not been feeling like my old ball of fire self. My job is very demanding physically and mentally as I work on an elite recon team. Packing lots of gear, weaponry and constantly being mentally fatigued takes a toll on you... And I think it was taking its toll on me!
Per a friends suggestion, I had bloodwork done and was found to have low T high E (at the time of the first test - keep reading). I was prescribed the following (which is still sitting on my counter - unopened):
Test Cyp 200mg/wk
Deca 200mg/wk
HCG 500IU (2x / wk)
B12 - 1ml (3x / wk)
Arimidex 1mg (5x / wk)
From the research I have done over the past few years this seems like a fairly solid stack. Also, as you have probably figured this is HRT so the theory is I am supposed to stay on it indefinately with minor tweaks based on how I feel and bloodwork.
As far as my bloodwork, this is the interesting part. During this cutting phase I was on, I decided to stack H-Drol and EpiDrol together for six weeks (2 Methyls...Yes I know). I did not really notice anything from it. However, during my sixth week I went and had my bloodwork done and my Total Test was at 252 and Estradiol was at 65.3, this was what yielded me the above HRT recommendation. (Horrible Lipids - HDL/LDL results). I figured this had to be a result of the Hdrol/Epi because there was no way I was decently muscular with that high of E and that low of T. (My own opinion).
So I decided to wait two weeks later, which was also two weeks into my PCT and I got another blood test done. I also had taken (4) 1mg doses of Arimidex during the week prior to this second blood test which I wish I had not done because I am not sure if my body readpated naturally or the Arimidex kicked things into gear. I have a feeling it was the Armidex being very effective since Armidex has the capability to smash estrogen and as a result raise T by 50% or so. Anyway, the second blood test resulted at Total Test 402 and Estradiol 12.3. Far diffrent than two weeks prior.
I started taking th Arimidex to get myself in a good spot for the HRT I was about to begin not necessarily for PCT but I am sure it helped. I did not do blood lipids this time so I am not sure if my Lipds/Cholesterol were back in check or not.
I have decided to finish out my cutting program (2 more weeks) and then take one week off to rest. Then I plan to start the HRT program I have listed above while going on more of a clean bulk diet - more calories - mostly clean.
My questions finally...
1) Are the low T/E scores in my 6th week of my Hdrol/Epidrol cycle a result of the Hdrol/EpiDrol? Will they cause the low T / High E results I got?
2) How long post Hdrol/Epidrol cycle does it take for HDL LDL levels to normalize again? My diet is super clean, eating 6x day, multi's, Niacin, plenty of fish and Omegas, etc.
2.5)(2) Would it be a waist to start my HRT now knowing that I am going to be taking one week off after I complete the next two week phase of my current plan? Or would I benefit even further with the increased recovery being on cycle with one week off.
3) How does the above HRT stack sound? What results can I expect with excellent diet and the utmost workout intensity?
4)Any other comments or feedback would be much appreciated.
