My thoughts a couple days later
<HR style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #d1d1e1; COLOR: #d1d1e1" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->Well, ive had time to think. Its still a big dissapointment. I really thought I was on track to do some serious damage at this show. But, the final few days just didnt come out right. Even so, I had the show won in the morning. But, I spilled at night, and they rejudged the show at night as one judge wanted to change his vote. (I know because im very good friends with one of the judges and he told me this himself) I honeslty did it to myself, playing around with my diet the final few days. Then slipping on water after pre jugdging and not holding myself back. I wouldve won the heavy's, but the super wouldve still won the overall. It really made me think if im still making progress or not. It's hard to say, if my best days are in the past. I would like to think not, but I still want to believe I can be competive on the national level. Anyway, that is all I want to say about this show. Its over now, and im moving on. Im going to give next year Master Nationals a shot, and if I make the top 5-6 I will continue on. If not, then its time to retire and move on. So it's all or nothing next

a few more pics, last pic is sarah, aaron sigerman and I

the first upclose pics are from the night show. as you can see Im spilling over, and that cost me the show

Hey Chris, tell new guys like me what you mean by "spilling over"?

I guess it can mean he over-carbed or drank too much water. Basically when your body starts to retain water and you don't look as shredded as you would like. Like trying to fill a balloon (i.e. your muscles) without making the balloon pop (spilling-over).

This is exactly right. The same thing happened to me. The big diff is that they re-judged the middleweights and the heavyweights at the night show. Which is total bullshit!!!!! I looked fckn awesome at pre-judging, but I looked smooth as fck at the night show. Spilled way over. I still thought Chris should've won regardless of the re-judge shit.

We are our own worst critics but we need to be our own best friends. You did a great job and look great. Not only that you helped Zeus to place in the top 5. In my book you are a winner and still have what it takes to compete on a National level. So you spilled over, next time you wont. Never let expectation outcomes dictate mood. You came back from a serious illness and still took 2nd. This in itself is remarkable. Keep on keeping on.
