I think I looked like crap at the Southern States and although I'm sure I over dieted and then over depleted and wasn't able to fill out, looking at the winners has me doubting if I had come in where I wanted if I couldve cracked top 5. I went to the Fl State show this past Sat and saw alot of the same guys with better conditioning and some with alot more Synthol. In all honesty I'm not going to do GH year round and commit my life to bodybuilding at the expense of everything else just to qualify for nationals (which is my only goal). I'm thinking of doing a show in 2 years and trying to be a solid HW or even a SHW, but I don't know if I have the shape that these guys have. What would you do? Currently I'm getting 95% of my protein and calories from food where as I was doing about 60%. I'm also using insulin once a day on non training days and twice a day on training days along with IGF. I also saw a couple guys that really did a great job with Synthol on their chest (my weakest part). Considering that as well precontest (I could tell the difference from the Southern States to this show) it really looked good.

The best way to answer this, Is to be very honest with yourself.

The top guys at National level are freaks. Just remember this, at every Pro Q. National show, someone there will be a Pro. I think way to many people do nationals that are not ready. They really just waste their time and money. Just because you qualify for nationals dosen't mean your ready. Go to Nationals this year in November and just watch.

only you can answer that and regardless you have built a badass body and you always can improve so who knows. In the year or so i have been here you got fuckin huge.

I agree with them, this is something only you can answer. If you don't think you'll ever be in the shape they are in, stay in smaller shows and dominate and just pick a show each year to really go balls out for or every couple years just to see what happens...The decision is yours though, if all you're after is to qualify, then pick a different show each year and see what happens

I guess I'll stick with the original plan and put on as much quality size as possible in the next two years and hire someone to take me all the way till I step onstage from the day my diet starts. My wife is very supportive and wants me to compete again. I also just got word that my work schedule will be changing and the new schedule will make my bodybuilding lifestyle much easier. I am going to start experimenting with things on my chest. Maybe I can get my Dr to apply Synthol for me and the in house massage therapist can do the massage afterwards.

Agreed, and if a hobby is all it ever really is there are far worse things you could do with your time.

I don't have pics, but I'll get some of the couple guys that it's most noticeable. It was only obvious to me b/c I saw the guys a few weeks earlier at the Southern States. Other than the abnormal roundness and out of this world thickness, the only sure way you know is the pics of them just a few weeks earlier. It was done very well.

Hey Dude...have You tried regular site injections & igf-1 in Your chest? I over the yrs have managed to bring mine up with those products...just a thought

I have been for a couple years. Its made great improvements, but so has the rest of my body. It can't catch up. I'm trying some things and seeing good results. My chest really only seems to be seriously lacking when I diet. It loses a ton of size and strength.

I've only competed 1x but have LOTS of friends that do & the one seems every yr to loose the most size from the places he refuses to do high reps...for him it's legs....he does 10,12,15 rep sets for every thing but legs & they dissappear every yr...just something I've noticed with other competitors

Great question and im sure for everyone its a different answer, for some its time and money getting in the way not allowing htme to compete at higher leveles regardless of their geneitics, as im sure their are plenty of guys who know they have had the geneitcs to make a real go at going pro or competing at a higher level. But for me it was simple, i didnt have the dedication i knew it would take to do anything serious and never had any delusions of grandure in going pro, I always knew I had good geneitcs and I always thought if I could do every single thing properly i could make a go at Nationals MAYBE but then my knees blew out and the decision was made for me, however even without that I dont think i had what it takes to go pro for sure and not even crack into the tops at nationals, I was just a solid gym rat with better then average genes but knew not to waist my time and money trying to go pro or always competing at nationals and never cracking top 5, i just didnt have the dedictaion which is what would piss other people off about me considering i would just do it for me and do local shit but not put any serious effort into doing bigger things

I do however COMMEND THOSE GUYS WHO LIVE THIS SHIT! For me though I am happy being a local bodybuilder and just trying to keep my nose in the industry, and help other up and coming bodybuilders with the knowledge they get from our community here and through the little bit of help we give them when we sposnor them , for me thats what I love now

Would be very interesting to see if you are able to find some.

I'm about the same, I don't think I'll ever be competitive on a national level, but I'd like to win a couple of shows eventually, not looking at ever doing nationals at this point, just trying to enjoy doing what I love and keeping myself competitive. I don't mind helping anyone that's serious, but I hate wasting my time with people that won't listen or don't care
