Does anyone know where I would be able to find a contest prep coach that can help me with dieting and posing. I plan on doing my first show sometime this year and need help. :bber: I'm in central Jersey (Parlin).

Thanks

A coach doesn't necessarily need to live nearby, though it does help to have *some* face-to-face time. You can try Jason Arntz. I believe he's down in that area... Also, Apollon Gym is in Edison. There's several competitors that train out of that gym.

There's a bunch of shows coming up... Google NPC NJ to see show dates. Go to a show and try making contacts that way.

You could also try asking around your gym for recommendations...

seriously an icecream avatar? I feel bad for the people on here that wouldnt eat that

if you're serious and gonna put out money for a coach make sure you get someone who is god and who cares. I work with Fakhri Mubarack. I live in SOuth Jersey and he is in Newyork. he is as good as all the top guys in the business but alot cheaper. Check him out in Musculardevelopment, he writes foe them, or find him on facebook. He really cares and takes time with every client. One peace of advice with anyone you work with. Committ with them for at least a year. It takes time to develop a body the proper way. Anyone who tells you they can work with you in a few months is full of shit. I train a few guys for shows as well if u wanna start cheaper. Im pretty good and very dedicated. Good Luck on your search

Thanks for the help. My main question is do I really need a coach that I can see in person on a regular basis? I cant really see how I would learn how to pose correctly any other way.

YOu dont need someone all the time. Myself and alot of other gurus use weekly pictures through email
Then make a few trips out to see your coach and work on the posing
Hey if you can find a qualified guy near you then do it but mostly everyone does it through email

Hey bro I pmed you last night, like i said i have a few pros who I can hook you up with, or a highly qualified national level guy who i mentioned in the pm last night which happens to be "supermanNPC" who posted a reply above in this thread, he is the Troponin Nutrition guy I pmed you about.

Also like I said your going to get a bazillion different people coming at ya posting openly like this, so be careful bro alot of people are just out to make a few bucks!

i would seriously recommend you find someone who you can see in person. Remember you are paying your hard earned money, get what it is worth. There are guy everywhere. You should be able to find someone near where you live. Your trainer should be able to get to lknow you and your body in person. At least at first. After you guys have been working together for a while then you can do it by email. Just my advice

I found possible choices but I'm trying to explore all possibilities before I actually pick a person. I plan on starting my cut May so I still have time. Thanks
