Huskie, orange juice and a banana. It has happened to me, but it really shouldn't happen. Be cautious and conservative when filling the insulin pin. If your new to it, start at 20 and increase from there, no one says you cant. Listen to your body, and learn from it. Best of luck.
Sauds, true, but if someone is actually going hypo, a fast acting carb is needed to balance sucrose and glycogen, just like most diabetics, juice, fruit, and candybars are usual recommendations from the docs, not to mention waxy maize.
The ones of us like me who do get it are suspect to going hypo anyway. I usually get that way after a workout anyway and if I don't drink or take in some simple carbs its an issues. Many guys who dont have this problem run three times my dose and never have sides. I just want people to be safe and you need the carbs anyway so make sure you get them so it is never a prob.

I'm hypoglycemic anyway, but I rarely experience it since I eat every 2 hours or so and once or twice a night. The IGF just put me there when I wasn't expecting it. Its not really something for most to have serious concerns over. I always carry powdered gatorade.

I agree with Saud. I always did mine pwo so I was taking carbs anyway. I would always get my blood sugar up to the 160 range after a workout anyway (I used a glucose meter alot to see what was going on) and my bloodsugar would drop some but nowhere near hypo range. Like I said I am hypoglycemic somewhat anyway and as long as i did the carbs before the application I was good to go.
I went hypo numerous times i think my body is sensitive to it. Never badly just scary cause i never had it happen before. Just pound some juice of some sort or any carbs really. I just increased my carb intake quite a bit.
Apples, peaches, or bananas. They're handy in a pinch.
Yesterday I applied IGF for the 1st time in about 8 weeks (60 mcg sub q, at 6 A.M.)and I didn't go hypo, but was flat-out exhausted from like 12 o'clock on. I'm gonna apply every other day, so I didn't apply today, and voila.....no sleepy head for me.

Slightly off topic--I would love to get my blood sugar up to 160! I don't think I've ever been over 110 in all the times I have measured after eating. Got a nice 50 this morning.
