hey guys i know this isnt the workout section, but this seems to get the most posts and viewers, so heres a question :

i've been trying a new split and i was wondering what you guys thought of it... seems to be working for me so far (2 wks in)

day 1... biceps/triceps (usually do compound sets, work both simultaneously....9 sets per)
day 2... heavy legs/calves (9 sets, 8 for calves)
day 3... heavy chest / light back (8 sets per bp)
day 4 off
day 5... bi's/tri's (different exercises)
day 6... lighter legs/ calves
day 7... heavy back / light chest
day 8 off

What are you trying to do? Tone up? Get huge? Etc?

I don'y get the "light days"? Unless you're just trying to maintain/tone up.

If you';re trying to get bigger, lift hard every day. You may need more days off with this but I'm sure you'll grow better.

i train one body part per day, always have, always will....my current split is as follows;

Monday: legs
Tuesday: chest
Wednesday: shoulders
Thursday: back/hamstrings
Friday: biceps/abs
Saturday: triceps/abs

can't train arms on the same day, when i get a pump in my bicep, i can't train my tricep properly, so i just split them up.

QoD,
Do you change your routine when you are doing contest prep? I am doing a two a day split right now and that has always worked for me when prepping for a show. I am a tired as hell, but then ends justify the means....

i recently switched to doggcrapp. i have to be honest, i really like it. i kind of miss getting the huge pump from a full workout of chest, shoulders, or back ect...but overall it's changing my physique pretty noticeabley. the split is mon. wed. fri. mon., i'd encourage everyone to read the cycles for pennies thread. i can post a link if you'd like, but i don't know if iron addict would appreciate that.

I'm currently training under DC. It's the pimp shit. I've never felt better.

yeah bro, we were planning on starting at the beginning of this month but my dog had to get surgery on his leg and i was out 460.00. now i have to save up again to hire him. it's cool though because he helps me out more than he should at his site, along with in-human.

the only thing i switch up pre-contest is the amount of weight/reps i use. i leave my ego at home (as hard as it is) and lift moderate weights with high reps on all movements (except compound)

i also drop deadlifts pre-contest as when i lean down, they make my waist thicker, so my back workout consists of;
pullovers
chins
bentover rows
hypers
stiff legs or hamstring curls

i try to do 4 sets(of each exercise) and keep my reps in the 10-15 range.

IH, what's up brotha, glad to see ya here. training is going good, i decided to not step on a scale for 2 months, and go only by strength and shape. i'm really liking dc training. i've been kicking the log book's ass lately...4 of my lifts are up 40lbs for my RP sets.
