I've been having terrible lower back pain lately. I'm thinking it maybe a herniated disc or a nerve problem. It constantly aches...especially while I'm sitting. It bothers me when I'm standing as well.
I was fixing some wires in back of my computer the other day and I was on my hands and knee's for about 5-10 minutes. My back started hurting really bad and it also felt like my lower body was going partially numb.
On a side note I believe it may be caused from doing heavy dead lifts about a year ago. I just completed a set of 5x455lbs. On the 5th one my lower back felt weird and once I let the weight go my lower back and legs went numb. It went away after about 10 minutes of laying on the ground. My back went numb about 30 minutes later for 30-40 minutes while I was laying at home. It went away and I didn't really have too many problems after that until now.
The pain radiates from my lower spine outwards. There are two spots about 1/2" on either side of my spine that hurt fairly bad if I push on it. It been hurting for 2 weeks now consistantly and it's getting worse.
I would appreciate any responses from members that have experienced this or other back problems...including symptoms and treatment if possible. Thanks guys and gals.
BTW I've been taking 800mg of Ibuprofen 2-3x per day and it's not helping the pain at all. I don't have medical insurance right now so if I need to go to the doctor I want to make sure it's something worth going for. lol.
