How thick do you like your shakes?

How much liquid do you use for your protein shakes? I tend to go the more thick route, in water I use 3 70cc scoops in about 12 fl oz water. In milk, 3 in about 16 oz skim.

It about as thick as instant pudding before it sets. I like my shake to eat like a meal. It never quite does... :crap:
 
I can't stand really thick shakes--makes me gag. I have to mix enough water in so that they don't have a thick consistency at all.
 
Almost everyshake I drink is in water. I used to get shakes at the gym and they were pretty thin, I am with TK, I hate them thick.
 
I love them thick, the thicker the better, I use about 14oz water, half a banana(adds thickness) and two scoops of protein along with 6 ice cubes. It will def. fill you up! Sometimes I pour in 1/4 cup of dry oats to make them thicker and add about 15 grams of carbs!
 
Since im cutting, I use water but I make sure to use a minimal amount because I like really thick shakes... someone should start a tally on thick vs. watery
 
I like them thin....but every once in awhile I'll take a thick one home........opps wrong thread you guys were talk ing about shakes....I like them thicker than hell, I'm with jay I want them to drink like a meal. I use fat free milk but thicken them up with instant fat free pudding mixes.

I use thin during the day for quick absorption, and very thick casein at nite slow digestion.....I use water for both times

So the question, does it matter how thick the shake it for absorbtion time? I know different proteins absorb at a different rate, but I don't see how the thickness matters.

Or were you just pointing out that your casien is thick?
 
with the casein it gets thick the more you let it blend,...but thick is better during the nite because it's slowly digested... just my two cents
 
But if I can suck down a thick exactly as fast as you drinking a thin shake, using the exact same protein - who's going to digest it first? I say both will digest at an equal speed.

Im with you. I like mine to have the consistency of milk or water. Thats why I like natures best iso pure........like drinking gatorade
 
Very thick. I use a fork and knife to eat it. I dont know, for some reason it just tastes better if its thicker.
