I was doing dumbbell incline press today and worked up to a moderately heavy weight (got 6 reps). Around about the 3 or 4th rep my right leg started shaking- my foot kept slamming up and down against the ground. I definitely dont think it was done consciously. This happens to me once in a while and im not worried about it, just sorta curious if it happens to anyone else and if anyone knows what could be a possible cause?

Its the muscles telling you that your body is having problems with it, listen to your body or end up like the rest with back problems.

Well, if the muscle you are working quivers it usually means that new neurons are firing to recruit more of the muscle for the workload. However, for for your leg to quiver while you're incline pressing is interesting. I would assume it's a CNS overload condition but cannot be sure. Do you notice any other abnormalities besides the quivering muscle?

Nope the only thing that happens is the shaking , no pain or anything else out of the ordinary. I guess its possible that my CNS does get overloaded because im doing a heavy lifting routine lately and usually do 5 days straight then rest two. Im gonna try putting a rest day where i do some cardio or ab work in between heavy lifting days and see if this happens next time im doing chest.

If it's only happening during or after the heavy exercise, then it's just your CNS trying to cope. If you're getting a generalized shaking nowhere near your exercise, then I'd be more concerned.
