Anybody regularly do this? Read where it hits the upper pecs 30% more than incline bench.

I have always heard it was good for upper chest but I can not for the life of me get the bar to come down and that was with just 25's on each side just to see if I could do the movement. I guess my arms just want move that way........

We had a guy the other day doing it on the incline bench. If he dropped it he would have been in a hell of a lot of pain. I heard it was better for upper chest more then incline but that looked like overkill.

I do them every other week for chest. I'll also do them on an arm workout as well, it hits the upper pecs tremendously. I love them, never had a scare as far as grip goes, I just have to have someone hand it out to me. I only do like 135, 155 and 185# sets

Its all in your head, get a spotter to rack the weight for ya, its a great way to end a good chest day, been doing them for almost a year now and never once had a problem, just go lite and get a good feel for what you can handle, use the natural motion of the arm on the way down and you should touch just below the pecs, people that try to touch where normal bench does are the ones that end up hurt or have trouble with it, alot of people have a real mis-conception of this exercise, its NOT dangerous if your a smart person.

funny you should ask. i was going to ask about reverse grip "bench like" extensions for triceps. My friend showed them to me but they hurt my shoulder. I got a good pump in my triceps but they were wierd feeling. Does anyone do them for tri's???

No, I never got a pump in my tris from these. Always in my chest and bis.

These guys do them using wider grips and theybring the bar to the bottom of the chest or a tad lower then up and away like a reverse sklull-crusher. Maybe its a power lifter technique. He (my buddy) is into power lifting. Funny thing, people call us arnold and columbo. He is short and Im tall and we have been close since high school but we lift completly different.
