Training after getting a massage

Is this a bad idea?

Ive been getting a deep tissue massage once a week to try loosen up my neck and traps (ongoing problem)

The thing is im not sure if i should take these days off from the gym or just go afterwards.
 
I heard you shouldnt go right after that, if I was you Id do it the day before, or later after you workout
