Ok well its thursday and I dont workout on thursdays. I workout on mondays , wednesdays , and fridays. So im just wondering what do you do when its your off day? Do you do lightweight workout Because thats what im thinking off doing but im not sure if will put to much on my still recovering muscles.

Also my body type is the athletic , hard to gain size type. So like I always stay kind of cut or chiseled I guess , and since bodybuilders go for size and im trying to lift weights for boxing , basketball , and a little for football. Should I worry about getting more reps from my routine with less weight? So I can stay more focused on cutting and shaping since my body type builds that easier?

You need to rest. Training on your day off is overtraining. You cannot grow this way.

Just eat a shit load of clean protein and carbs (cut the carbs later in the night).

You grow when you rest, remember this.

I know, at your age I wanted to train 7 days a week and I remember at one point I heavily trained 29 out of 31 days in one month. It become worthless and moreover, dangerous.

Just rest bro. Maybe do abs and a bit of cardio if you HAVE TO do something.

Eat a shitload for me bro, your metabolism is bangin' -have fun!

And I agree with B2S, when it IS your training day, go heavy. Why rack the weight at 10, when you can do more than 10 reps? Saving for your next set? Fuck it, get them in all that you can, each set.

In other words, go to failure each set. Your first set should be no more that 12 (and that's until failure), then your next will be about 7 or 8 (until failure). Then last one is like 3 reps (that's failure). Do that as a rule for most bodyparts, you get size bro, and you'll be cutter and chisseled than you could ever believe! Serously.

When its my day off, its my day off - period. I need the time to recover as I go heavy on on days. I only have one day off a week from the gym and I make the most of it.

you should work so hard that your body needs time to recoop
i usually take 2 days off a week
and damn do i need it

or you could jerk off! you don't waste any muscle that way and your keeping yourself busy. :arcade:

If you want to stimulate growth look at the area you want to touch up on. You have to target first, lets say biceps. Do bi's Monday, hard workout, ********* and failure. Go Wednesday as normal and Friday as normal. When you are done Friday you can do a lighter version of a short bicep workout, just high reps. This will pump blood into the muscle to promote faster healing and aid growth.
