Larry Wheels Shares Update On Heart Health After ‘Abusing PEDs For 10 Years Straight’

Larry Wheels recently shared his results from a trip to the doctor checking his major organs.
Larry Wheels is one of the most popular powerlifting personalities there is now. He has built an enormous following on social media with fans wanting to see his feats of strength including big weight for high reps. Recently, Wheels admitted to being concerned about his use of PEDs and shared an update on his health following a trip to the doctors.
At 27 years old, Wheels admitted that he has been using PEDs for 10 years now. In light of the recent string of deaths in bodybuilding, Wheels decided to get checked out to make sure his major organs were in good health. Cedric McMillan recently passed away. This was a shock coming after the devastating losses of Shawn Rhoden and George Peterson last year.

Wheels shared a video to YouTube to detail his own health but to also speak to other PED users out there.
“With recent events in the fitness industry – bodybuildersdropping dead to the heart attacks – it has left many of us concerned with our health. I’m talking about those of us who abuse PEDs and I have been abusing them for ten years straight now,” Larry Wheels said.
Since he was 17 years old, Larry Wheels had been using steroids to build the elite physique and strength that he has today. Wheels decided to finally get checked out after putting it off for quite some time.

At the doctors, Wheels went though an Electrocardiogram on a treadmill and Echocardiogram test. These are tests to identify different abnormalities such as irregular heartbeats, high heart rates, or blockages in arteries. Much to his delight, all tests on Wheels came back normal for his age.
“All of that checked out okay. I am shocked. I can’t believe myself after ten years of, well I guess not abusing as much as I thought I was, PEDs, my heart is, from what the doctor said, a perfectly normal healthy heart for a young man of my age.”
The doctors did reveal to Larry Wheels that his cardiac muscles were thicker than the average individual but this could be from his level of intense activity. An athlete’s heart goes through physiological changes during this activity.
Wheels continued in the video to speak on the deaths in bodybuilding and explained that this is the reason he went to the doctors. He ended his discussion with a call to action to other PED users and those individuals in bodybuilding and strength sports.
“This is a message for all those out there who might be using PEDs and who decided not to get checked up. You may not be as lucky as me. The problem is that if you wait too long and you have the symptoms, you have the pain in your chest or you have irregular heart rate then maybe too late.”

Callie Bundy competed in her first bikini show in 2011 — National Physique Committee (NPC) Eastern USA Championships, placing 11th.
After the humble start to her competitive bodybuilding career, Callie went back to the drawing board and started working on her weaknesses.
Her hard work and dedication paid off as she bagged a runner-up finish in her second show — the 2012 NPC Metropolitan Championships. She outdid herself in her next contest by winning the 2012 NPC Jay Cutler Classic.
2012 proved to be Bundy’s competitive bodybuilding career’s best year as she also won the NPC Bev Francis Atlantic States the same year and then took a third-place finish at the 2021 NPC Team Universe Championships. Training
“Slow progress is the real progress” is Callie’s training philosophy.
Bundy emphasizes the importance of enjoying your fitness journey. Most people who treat their training and diet program as a chore usually give up on the process as soon as it gets hard.
Callie Bundy loves training her glutes and hamstrings. Her lower body became her strongest suit after years of training. The same is true for her abdomen. Bundy had to train and diet hard to reveal her abs.
Some of Callie’s favorite exercises include good mornings, squats, and shoulder press. The former bikini competitor credits the squat for her gluteus development. She also reveals that shoulder press gave her the most intense arm pump.

Workout Routine
Callie trains daily, and these are some of the exercises she does:

Crunches – 4 sets of 30, 25, 20, 15 reps

Box squat jumps – 3 sets of 30 reps
Full sit-up on stability ball – 4 sets of 30, 25, 20, 15 reps

Nutrition
Callie Bundy was never a fan of dieting before starting her fitness transformation. She believes that she had a fast metabolism because of her active lifestyle and could get away with occasional unhealthy eating now and then.
However, Bundy knew she would need to follow a strict diet program to do well in a bikini contest. She started seeing improvements in her physique as soon as she started following a personalized nutrition plan, making her keener to step on stage.
Callie believes that an individual should never suppress their cravings for too long. Although she mostly eats healthy, she lets herself loose whenever she craves something.
“I don’t really get cravings, because I don’t really deprive myself of anything. I figure if you want it, have it. Otherwise, you slowly eat everything else in sight but that.” — Callie Bundy on cheat meals
Diet
Callie Bundy eats a high-protein diet that consists of lean proteins such as chicken, fish, and steak. Rice, sweet potato, fruits, and green vegetables are her primary source of carbs. Finally, she relies on chia seeds, olive oil, nuts, and flaxseed oil to meet her daily fats needs.
Bundy also recommends eating nutrient-dense organic food whenever you can. “Whenever possible I will buy organic,” said the former bikini athlete.
Callie’s favorite cheat meal includes wood-fired or brick oven pizza with cherry peppers, mushrooms, sausage, pepperoni, and onions.
According to Callie, patience, consistency, willingness to improve with every workout, and having a goal are some of the most important prerequisites for a successful physique transformation.

Eddie Hall Honors Bet With Hafthor Bjornsson, Gets Tattoo

Eddie Hall gets tattoo after losing bet to Thor Bjornsson.
Eddie Hall proves to be a man of his word as he honors his bet with Hafthor “Thor”Bjornsson, getting the tattoo they agreed on. Having lost their boxing match Hall was supposed to get a tattoo stating, “World’s Strongest Man: Thor Bjornsson”. Well it appears that the 2017 World’s Strongest Man has made good on his promise.
The battle between Eddie Hall and Thor Bjornsson didn’t disappoint at all. Both men showed that they prepared adequately for the bout. Neither man would back down, pushing themselves to places no one thought they’d go.
Combat sports is unlike any other sport out there. Sure, you can be pushed to the limits and be faced with sides of yourself you didn’t know were lurking underneath. But in basketball you don’t have to worry on that while at the same time having a fist flying at your face. It requires a different kind of mindset to go to war and it’s clear that both Eddie Hall and Thor Bjornsson have that in spades.
Now that both men have shared the square circle, they have discovered things within themselves and each other they likely never could have imagined.
Man of His Word

With Eddie Hall losing the match however, he had to make good on the bet he made with Thor Bjornsson. While many questioned whether Hall would follow through or not, a recent post to his Instagram page showed that he is a man of his word.

Being a man of my word ?
Monies is imminent to charities and Larry! Onto the next chapter in my life ? #ManOfMyWord#BeAMan #OwnALoss #ReMatch
Big Love
The Beast

Eddie Hall showed that he’s a man of his word and kept his promise to Thor Bjornsson. Now all fans can do is wait to see if the two agree to a rematch.

WATCH: Mike Tyson Repeatedly Punches Unruly Passenger In The Face On Plane

Mike Tyson allegedly got fed up with an intoxicated passenger behind him during their flight.
Mike Tyson is known for having one of the strongest right hands in boxing history. If there is one thing that you do not want, it is to catch one as a regular person. That was the fate of an unruly passenger who was sitting behind Tyson on a flight. A video, reported by TMZ, shows Tyson repeatedly striking the man in the face.
Tyson was on board of a flight going from San Francisco to Florida on Wednesday night. The incident occurred around 10:30 P.M. after the man apparently would not leave Tyson alone. Other passengers claim that the former champion was very open to those wanting pictures and to have a conversation. The man allegedly kept provoking Tyson even after being told to stop.

Mike Tyson was seen in the video throwing multiple punches at the man, whose face was left bloodied with cuts. The man was given medical attention and later went to the police. There has been no comment made from the police. Also, JetBlue and Tyson’s camp have remained quiet on the incident.
This has been an interesting week for Mike Tyson, who was recently in the news after his appearance with Joe Rogan. After getting high with the host, Tyson made a comment about having wealthy people kidnap the homeless and hunt them on their estates.
“This is what happens. They take these homeless people off the streets. Put them in there, take them to one of those special hospitals. Then, they take them from the hospital, all drugged up, take them to these large estates, property — ‘let’s hunt’ – run!”

Tyson has also been in talks of getting back in the ring to take on one of the Paul Brothers, but that seems very unlikely given his stance on the celebrity boxing scene. Tyson has since created a line of edibles and believes that there is more coming on that end.
To this point, there has been no comments made on the incident involving Mike Tyson and this man on the airplane. When the story comes out, there will be updates provided.

Death by Injection: The Proper Way to Inject Steroids without Leaving Air in the Vein

Death by lethal injection is a medical procedure used to execute death row criminals. However, a bodybuilder using injectable steroids can also meet the same fate if it is not done correctly, not from the drug but from the air you leave behind in the vein. It is important to note that not everyone can administer steroids properly by injection. One risks leaving the air in the vein if they’re not careful. Such a mistake might turn out to be fatal in the long term. We shall look at the proper way to inject steroids without leaving the air in the vein in this article.
Disclaimer: The information contained herein does not represent the thoughts of whatsteroids.com. These are the opinions of contributing individuals who have done independent research on the subject. Please consult with your doctor before performing any medical procedure mentioned in this article.

                These are the two main types of injections for people who want to inject steroids directly into the bloodstream;

Intramuscular injection
Intravascular injection.

Intramuscular Injection
Medically, drug administration through injection of the muscle is an intramuscular injection. The method is not popular; it suits people with certain medical conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and muscular sclerosis. Intramuscular injection is an alternative to intravascular injection. The muscle has a rich supply of blood vessels. A bodybuilder who wants to take this route must know that they can only use it if:

They cannot locate the vain to which to deliver the steroid
There is an issue with their digestive system which would render the steroids ineffective
There is a possibility that the drug could irritate if delivered to the vain

If the bodybuilder does not have any of the conditions mentioned above, they can proceed to inject the steroid into the vein.
Intravenous Injections
Intravenous steroid injections involve delivering steroids into the vein. Steroids vary in potency, hence the different methods to take them. Do not administer a potent steroid into a blood vessel for several reasons. However, most bodybuilders prefer this method because of the following reasons:

The drug gets into the bloodstream quickly and gives equally fast results, unlike taking it orally
It is the most effective method where one needs more doses of the steroid over a long period
It allows the administration of accurate doses

Air embolism is a term used to refer to the accumulation of air bubbles in the vein or artery upon injection. The bubbles could block the vessel or damage parts of the circulatory or respiratory system, sometimes fatally. Once the air bubble forms, it travels to one of the vital organs such as the heart, brain, or lungs. It could then cause a stroke, among other complications.
The bubble forms during injection and could be due to not using the catheter or syringe properly. Sometimes its formation is purely accidental. How does the bubble form exactly? One of the blood vessels near the surface could get exposed, and the pressure outside pushes air into it, thus forming an air bubble.
Air embolism has everything to do with the wrong administration of the steroid through injection. It could also be due to a damaged vein or artery. You have to do the injection as carefully as possible to avoid this problem. We have prepared for you tips to ensure the process is smooth, from the equipment to the injection procedure.
The Equipment
Bodybuilders who resort to taking steroids through intravascular injection must use the right equipment to reduce the risk of doing it wrong. There is a variety of equipment for intravenous steroid injections you need to know. The nature of the equipment to be used depends on the type of steroid you want to administer. It also depends on the dosage period and the urgency. Here is some equipment you might require.
Syringe – this is the equipment required for this procedure. It pierces the skin and delivers the steroid to the bloodstream along the vein.
Tourniquet – this equipment identifies a suitable vein to deliver the steroid.
Access cap- depending on how you want to deliver the steroid, you could use an access cap that opens while administering the drug and closes when done.
Local anesthetic – the pain from injecting a steroid into a vein could be unbearable. In such a case, you will need a local anesthetic to numb the site before injecting it.
Imaging machines – you may need this equipment to ensure the central line is correct.
Intravenous bags and lines – these deliver the drug through infusion
A catheter – is a tube that keeps the vein open while administering the steroid.
The location of blood vessels is a consideration when injecting steroids. Two kinds of blood vessels run through our bodies; peripheral and internal vessels. We shall look at how to administer steroids to each of these vessels.

While most people prefer using the services of a medic to inject steroids, some prefer doing it themselves. Nevertheless, you must follow the correct procedure to avoid creating problems where there are none. Here is a summary of how to inject steroids into the vein peripherally.

Inject a clean, sterilized needle into the vein
Push the catheter into the vein
Remove the needle slowly and leave the catheter in place
Deliver the first dose into the catheter and cover it with an access cap to avoid re-injecting

Central Line Steroid Injection Procedure
Medics can locate blood vessels deep inside the body using X-rays and other imaging devices. Our veins of interest in this regard are those found along the torso.
Delivering Into Various Central Lines

Percutaneous central venous catheter – you can deliver the steroid into an internal vein by inserting the catheter directly.
Peripherally inserted central catheter – the steroid goes towards the heart by feeding it from near the surface.
Tunneled line – the needle goes under the skin and delivers the drug a distance from the vein.
Port – a small reservoir is implanted under the skin and delivers the steroid into the central vein. The port is covered in silicone and allows various doses there.

Suitable Sites
You can inject the steroid to different sites, but only a couple of them are ideal for the procedure to be effective. Additionally, the dosage period determines the most appropriate place for an injection. For instance, the forearm (elbows, wrist, back of the hand, and upper surface of the foot) are the ideal spots for short-term IV lines.
In case of an urgent need for the drug, the vein found in the neck is the most appropriate. Remember that all central lines feed into the vena cava – the main vein that carries blood to the heart.

Air embolism manifests itself in several ways:
Bruising – pockets of air left inside cause sustained damage to the vein. Bruising is when blood looks out from the damaged vein.
Inflammation – the region around the vein shows signs of inflammation as experienced by 30% of injectable steroids users.
Infection – this advanced stage of air embolism involves bacteria from the skin’s surface finding their way into the vein through the catheter.
Irritation – the area could swell and show signs of pain or discoloration.
Extravasation – this is where the neighboring tissues get damaged due to blood and air leakages from the damaged vein.
Other issues associated with air embolism include blockages and clots.

It is now easy to identify air in blood vessels due to advanced imaging machines such as ultrasounds and CT scans. These devices monitor airway sounds, blood pressure, breathing rate, and heart sounds, The exact location of the bubble is then identified, and take appropriate measures.
Consider a range of treatment options before settling on the most appropriate. Treatment should achieve any or all of the following objectives:

Resuscitate the patient if they have passed out
Stop the source of embolism
Prevent embolism from damaging parts of the body

Here are some treatment options for the condition:

Put the patient in a sitting position to prevent the bubble from traveling to vital organs such as the brain, heart, or lungs.
Take drugs such as adrenaline to keep the heart pumping
Perform surgery to remove the bubble if the situation demands so
Perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy in a high-pressure steel room that delivers 100% oxygen. The air bubble would shrink and get absorbed into the bloodstream.

Air embolism from steroid injection could be fatal if you do not take appropriate measures to treat it. However, it is better to prevent it from occurring than to treat it when the damage has happened. Ensure to follow the drug administration procedures mentioned. Alternatively, consult your doctor first to be on the safe side. It would also help to inquire about safe steroid use from experienced bodybuilders who have been doing it without encountering this condition. Don’t forget to check for more informative articles on our blog for a safe, successful bodybuilding experience.
