Anyone else have to go through these temptations?

you should have kids, i have popsicles, fudgesicles, icecream sandwiches, frozen pizzas, snack bags of of every chip in america, two Hawaiian punch flavors, coke, root beer, capri suns, whole milk, white bread, goldfish crackers, cheezits and every other yummy kiddy treat known to man. Its tough in the streets for a dad.

I grew up with all that shit in the house. If it was grocery shopping day, we knew the house would later be stocked with all the faves that you mention here - icee pops, goldfish crackers (LOVED the pizza and cheddar ones with extra bold flavor), chocolate licorice, fruit roll-ups, gushers, doritos, potato chips, ice cream, etc... I didn't drink too much soda at home. We usually had instant powdered tea in the gallon jug that had like a million grams of sugar. Looking back, I can't believe I used to eat all that crap!

Do your kids a favor and put an end to the madness now... if you slowly start changing things up, maybe they won't notice as much? lol (Doubtful, but it could happen!)

If I ever have kids, I definitely won't be buying that stuff... I wish my family was more educated about health and nutrition because I still get cravings for some of that crap. I don't buy junk - even in the offseason. If I want something bad, I go to the store and get it, eat it that night and it's gone. I like to keep my fridge and pantry pure and clean, lol.

def agreed

see how many whole food meals you can get these kids to eat. they barley eat the chicken nuggets. i walk 2.5 miles with them three times a week around the lake (my little son rides his bike) and my daughter runs a mile at school every week (under 10 min and shes 11) they have to drink water and can have 1 soda or juice a day so their is some regulations but you will have to have some kids to fully understand the way they dont want to eat. you will be lucky if your preteen knocks out a hotpocket before school.....you will see.

That's good that you keep them active... I guess that's why I wasn't "fat" growing up. We ate crap, but we were always outside riding bikes, rollerblading, playing kickball, manhunt, etc...

But you're right. I ate like shit in high school too... no breakfast, and the only things I would eat for lunch would be either a soft pretzel, a few fried pierogies, a good humor strawberry shortcake ice cream bar and a regular peach snapple. For 4 freakin' years!

I forgot about hot pockets. Those were usually in the freezer too...

Never had a greek cookie. I'm italian... gimme some rainbow cookies. Those are the freakin' BEST!

I'm about to have some tilapia. Don't hate. :rolleyes: lol
