I'm not arguing, just trying to understand. :) It seems like different places say different things. So although fruits do contain good carbs, they have so much sugar that it's not worth using them as a primary source of carbs? Did I understand that right?

oh i know your not man i never claim to know everything at all lol i wish you could prove my logic wrong because i love fruit haha curbs my sweet cravings when dieting.

Yeah thats basically how i view it exactly how you said it.

Do you know of any good books or articles from reputable sources I could read up about stuff like this, I just posted a new thread as well, but I want to more thoroughly understand the human body as I find it very interesting. I wish I would have majored in sports medicine. *sigh* oh well. I've been reading a lot about supplements/drugs and I think before I learn all about that I want to learn more about the "fundamentals". I have some grasp of things, but not thorough enough for my satisfaction.

Here is a typical breakfast of mine w/ the breakdown. Hope it helps.
3 Egg white: 49 cal
1 Banana: 109 cal
Oatmeal with Blueberries: 1/2 cup 139 cal
Milk nonfat: 1 cup 86 cal
Orange juice: 3/4 cup 85 cal
Total Calories: 468 Complex Carbs=87g Prot=26g Good Fats=3.3g
I've got thousands of em thru vitabot.com. Allows you to choose foods based on your goals. Even grades you on heart health, vitamines, minerals, protien, carbs, and fats. The better foods you chose the better your grade. It came with my gym membership. I'm told it's what hospitals use for online meal planning. I gotta say, it rocks.

One cardio session will burn off this breakfast and your snack will get you thru to lunch.
