great thread, how many days a week you train?

being that its offseason we keep it to 4 days a week. We are doing a Yates type of routine...high intensity, low volume...Remember my training partner is 64 years old, and im 39 in november. So its gotta be lower volume at most times of the year, except when Im getting ready for a show...lol

this past week, being that im working so much OT, ive cut back training to 3 days this week. I also cut back on my super supplements the past few weeks, just to give my body a break. Im holding my weight well, still around 272-274lbs all week long. (my high weight was 278-281)...but in truth I do feel less bloated, and a touch leaner. Strengh is really good, I feel strong, and my pumps are killer...MC IGF is a life saver, and really dose the jobe very well. My arms are always pumped, and I also feel like it helps heal injurys...dont know if it dose or not, but im not as sore or hurting threw my elbows like i once was...

tonight was an off night for me...but I went to Midwest Iron to help out a few kids getting ready for the state show next year in April. I think I have 5-6 guys that I will be doing full pre comp prep for them. A coulpe other vets down there will just have me give them advice on posing, and diet advice, they will make there own decisions from what I tell them. But I have 3 guys that will do whatever I tell them to do, right down to dotting the I and crossing the T. Good guys, and im very happy to be helping them, look for some offseason pics from these guys soon.

had a great chest, delt and tricep workout today...felt strong, so we did incline bar press, on my main set I got 315 x 6 reps on my own. That doesnt soon so great, but for me, its pretty awesome. I never have been a strong incline press person. So getting to over 300lbs for 6 reps is damn good for me....I got a video to...that Ill put up tommarow. Then went to smythe neck presses with a slight decline. We did a widowmaker set on that, I got 20 reps. After chest, we went to deltoids, and did free bar front presses. I did 225 x 7 reps again. Just getting use to using a free bar again, so I know that has alot of improvment to make. After presses, did a set of widowmaker laterals on the flex seated lateral machine. I always do these super slow, with a pause at the top and bottom. Got my 20 reps, but my delt heads are on fire after that set. After, delts went right to triceps. We did Cable overhead tricep extensions. I do my reps high and slow, becasue of my elbow issues. I just go for a insane pump and be done with it. After overhead extensions, we did one arm rope pushdowns, to failure, again nice and slow, and really flex the tricep hard on each rep. I got 20 with each arm again on here...

Hell yeah Chris. You have made some major gains this last year bro. I know when you get on stage at the shows we are all doing next year you'll will be at your all time best. Let me know where we are training at tomorrow hommie. Ready to tear some shit up bro!!!!!

Back and biceps today...

started the workout with seated incline cable curls, curled more weight on this than in the past. I did 65lbs for 6 reps. It was super heavy, but I got 2 more reps than last time. Then tried something new, drag barbell curls. Just did 55lbs, but the pump was unreal. Pretty awesome feel to it. I think Ill keep these in a do them more often. Then progressed to back. We did Lat Pulldowns to the front I did 315lbs for 10 reps. a new PR for me. They were pretty controlled to, full range of movement. After that did Rack deads...Pulled 405 for 15 reps on my final set.

Tried out my new supplements I got from Prescription Nutrition...the new Creatine HCL, and Agmatine sulfate, and the new flavor of Watermelon punch on the explosion. Got a killer pump, and felt hot threwout the workout...lol ! that must have been becasue of the beta alanine. Strengh was actully up to on all movements or reps....pretty happy with the workout

ok skiped a few workouts , but I start back today with Legs...

Started with Standing calf raises..Finished off with 870lbs for 23 reps to failure...New personal best...For hams did lying leg curls 170lbs for 12 plus 1 forced rep...not a personal best, but still progress, did the reps very controlled...On quads did hacks squats as my main movement again this week, did 450lbs for 12 reps...Not bad, felt light...but my knee was kinda bothering me..still felt really good...had a killer pump....

oh and just a note the supplements from P.N. have been really affecting my workouts...better pumps, more push power, more energy...

Creatine HCL - 30 mins pre workout 1/2 tbsp
Agmitine Sulfate - 30 mins pre workout 1/4 tbsp
Explosion - 2 scps. 15-20 mins pre workout
BCAA n More - slip on threw out workout - 2 scps.

Yesterday (wends) had a killer leg workout with my training partner (note he is 67 years old) He kicked my ass yesterday. I did super squats 540 x 20...with a 1-2 second pause at the bottom of each rep, I came to a compete stop, and held it for a second. Then blasted the weight up to the top, it was killer set...Felt a good pump afterwards, and my legs looked pretty decent sized.

Had a KILLER chest, delt and tricep workout today...Did barbell incline press, on my final set got 325 x 6 reps, felt alot easier than last week with 315lbs. Next time, Ill go up to 330lbs...Also, did front barbell press 225 x 9 reps...this felt waaaaay lighter than last time...I was very happy with this....Triceps ended with a couple widowmaker sets of cable overhead extensions, and machine dips. no cardio today, as my weight was down to 275lbs.
